iPhone SE and iPad Pro wallpapers

We are excited to bring you a spectacular set of images for Wallpapers of the Week. Last Monday, Apple announced iPhone SE and the new iPad Pro, which comes now in 9.7" versions. Once the devices were highlighted on the website, several new wallpapers appeared on the device advertisements. Only a couple of hours later, I was getting pinged with hopeful iDB readers, trying to download the new images.

Thanks to some work from our loyal readers, I was able to snag these wallpapers and am excited to offer them to you. Not only are the advertised wallpapers included below, you can also download wallpaper versions from the shot-on iPhone SE image gallery, which is featured on the Apple product page. The Wallpapers of the Week section strives to bring you fresh images to your iOS devices every Sunday. Changing wallpapers is one of the quickest and most drastic ways to modify the look and feel of your daily driver, without a jailbreak. March 21 Apple event wallpapers: “Let us loop you in”

On Thursday, March 10, Apple sent invitations for their media event, "Let us loop you in," to be held on Monday, March 21. The event is said to reveal a completely new handset, dubbed the iPhone SE. In addition, a refresh of the iPad Air is expected to bring the device more in-line with iPad Pro. Finally, there is a potential for new Apple Watch accessories, specifically bands, and updates to the operating systems for OS X, iOS, and Watch OS.

The invitation, which always includes an image, will no doubt send the blogosphere reeling with guesses about hidden images that are allegedly included. Wallpapers are one of those things that we often like to change up on our iPhones every so often, and it can be difficult to choose the right one at times.

A new free jailbreak tweak called PaperGram eliminates the process of having to choose a wallpaper yourself by automatically setting your wallpaper to something different at time increments of your choice. What's more is it sources the wallpaper images from Instagram, whether you're an Instagram user or not.

Wallpapers of the week: city perspectives

Each week, we provide a fresh set of iOS device wallpapers. Subjects range from graphic creations, to mixed media and natural photography. Trying to keep the genres random, check back weekly for updates in the Wallpapers of the Week section! This week, we turn toward the city, as recently previous wallpapers were more nature-focused.

Gathering a short list of cityscape wallpapers, the images were curated from individual profiles via Interfacelift.com. Including modern industrial to vintage Venice, this week's selection highlights some incredible photography skills.

The Wallpapers of the Week section continues with a reader submitted image. Throughout the week, we glean through different repositories, looking for just the right images to feature on Sundays. Considering reader-submitted images is part of the curation process. Wallpapers are best when they are properly formatted for the latest iOS devices and photo quality. Consequently, the most popular wallpapers are not ones someone just happened to snap on their latest beach vacation.

Firewatch wallpaper for iPhone and desktop

Available now for Steam and Playstation 4, Firewatch is a new action adventure puzzler set in 1989. Manning an outpost, Henry descends into the wilderness, exploring an unknown environment. Receiving acclaim for its stunning visual imagery, Firewatch is the focus of our Wallpapers of the Week.

Thanks to a tip from @AppleGeek97, we pulled the selected wallpapers directly from the Firewatch blog. Inside, grab three wallpapers for iPhone or desktop, each highlighting the scenery from a simulated Wyoming naturescape.

The Wallpapers of the Week section continues with a mix of photography and digital creativity by highlighting planet based wallpapers. As galaxy and planetary images proved previously popular, today is another chance to grab some of great images, both created and natural.

Each Sunday, iDownloadBlog brings you the Wallpapers of the Week. Last week, we decided to take things back to the basics. An all natural selection of Earth images, taken by satellite. It proved to be quite popular and improving on the genre, this week is another selection of nature photography.
