The perfect jailbroken iPhone: iOS 9 edition

Following a ritualistic bloodline of popular posts we've shared in the past, we'll be showing you what jailbreak tweaks we think make a perfect jailbroken iPhone on iOS 9.

Personally, I believe less is more; keeping a jailbroken device as stock as possible without compromising on your most wanted features helps keep it both stable and functional. Overloading it with jailbreak tweaks for the sake of aesthetics can lead to instability, and that's something I tend to avoid.

As a result, I focus mainly on tweaks that serve a functional purpose more so than tweaks intended to make your device look cooler. These tweaks will all work with the Pangu jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3.

Poll: Did you update to iOS 10?

iOS 10

Apple officially launched iOS 10 to the hands of the public this week with more than 100 new features for iPhone and iPad users.

It looks like an exciting update, but we know some people are still wary of updating this early in the game. So to find out where you stand, we've launched another poll you can participate in.

Poll: Will you buy the Apple Watch Series 2?

Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 2 at yesterday's keynote event alongside the iPhone 7 lineup with improvements to speed and capability, and also bumped up the specs of the original Apple Watch all while re-branding it the Apple Watch Series 1.

But is the second-generation Apple Watch everything you were hoping for? Let us know in this poll whether or not you'll be ordering one.

Poll: Will you be upgrading to iPhone 7?

Apple's newly-unveiled iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are truly stunning in visual appeal and new features, and many of you are undoubtedly going to be either pre-ordering this Friday or lining up at your local stores to try and get one when they're available.

In this review, we’ll show you the Grovemade walnut dock for the iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus, a premium metal and hard wood dock that pays careful attention to detail and looks great anywhere you put it.

Will overhauled MacBook Pros debut alongside iPhone 7 in September or in October?

In an article this morning, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman rehashed much of the previous rumors regarding Apple's widely expected MacBook Pro refresh with Touch ID, AMD GPU, an OLED touch strip replacing the row of function keys and more. As per the report, these new MacBook Pros “aren’t likely” to debut alongside the new phones at the September 7 iPhone media event.

Which brings me to our question of the day: will the new machines launch in September, October or maybe even later? Let us know what you think in the comments.

When the time comes, will you keep your jailbreak, or update to iOS 10?

Pangu released the first jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3 last week, following a huge lull in the jailbreak community that left many with lost hope and the decision to just rock a stock device from here on out.

Nevertheless, those who love jailbreaking have already jailbroken their devices again, despite a lot of issues that were reported about the new jailbreak.

So now that a week has passed, what will you do - keep it, or update?

Now that the English jailbreak tool for iOS 9.3.3 is out, will you jailbreak?

The jailbreak for iOS 9.2-9.3.3 has been out since last weekend, but it wasn't until Friday that Pangu got to launching an English version of the once Chinese-only jailbreak tool.

As we know many of you were holding out for an English jailbreak and for a few updates to the tool for stability, we're curious about whether or not you'll be making the jump now that the English tool is out.

Did you or will you jailbreak iOS 9.3.3?

Pangu came through with an official jailbreak for iOS 9.2-9.3.3 over the weekend, and despite the fact that it's a semi-untethered jailbreak, it's still a sight for sore eyes.

We want to know whether or not you're going to be jailbreaking your iOS 9.3.3 device, or if you have already, so we're hosting this poll so you can put in your two cents!

What’s on your Home screen: Cody Lee

I’m a little late to the party, but I wanted to join the rest of my colleagues in sharing my iPhone Home screen. I love looking at others’ setups, and getting inspiration from their apps and wallpapers, so I’m happy to post mine in the same vein.

I’ll start off by saying that my Home screen changes fairly frequently. I’m always installing beta versions of iOS, jailbreaking, and doing other things to my iPhone that prompt complete restores, so I don’t get to enjoy any particular setup for very long. And that’s ok with me, as I like rebuilding my Home screen—it’s like rearranging furniture in a room to find a more optimal layout. It’s sort of cathartic.

My current setup I’ve had for a little over a month now. Knowing that the first iOS 10 beta was coming, I decided to get rid of my jailbreak and update to iOS 9.3.2. Not being jailbroken definitely affects how my Home screen looks—I use tweaks like Springtomize to customize the status bar, remove icon labels and make other small, but noticeable changes—but I don’t regret moving on to iOS 10. It’s been a joy to use thus far.
