iOS 6 logo spotted on WWDC 2012 banners

Apple started raising banners in San Francisco's Moscone West two days ago, ahead of the big event's keynote scheduled for next Monday, June 11, at 10am Pacific Time.

And just this moment, one guy managed to snap a photo outside the Moscone Center which clearly shows the new iOS 6 logo for the first time on one of the banners.

The photographic evidence confirms that Apple will be showing off iOS 6 so it's news, not a rumor anymore. The logo is pretty elegant and cool-looking, wouldn't you agree?

T-Mobile confirms it will be offering iPhone-friendly 4G service at WWDC

So this is pretty interesting: earlier today we passed along a report that [unlocked] iPhone users have recently started seeing 3G data on T-Mobile's network around the Moscone Center in San Francisco. This is where Apple will host WWDC next week.

This isn't typical for T-Mobile iPhone users, as technology conflicts between the carrier and the handest usually force them to 2G data (which is why T-Mobile still isn't an official iPhone partner). So we figured something must be up...

Apple to unveil its television set at WWDC next Monday, analyst predicts

After peering into his crystal ball, Jefferies & Company analyst Peter Misek conjured up a major prediction for Apple's rumored HD TV set which, according to Misek, will be announced during a keynote which will kick off Apple's annual developers conference in San Francisco next Monday at 10am PT.

Yes, this is the same guy who back in April said the iTV, as the media calls the rumored Apple-branded TV set, will be actually called the iPanel. We'll leave it up to you to draw conclusions...

Apple starts raising WWDC banners at Moscone

You've heard all of the rumors and speculation, but just in case you needed more proof that Apple's highly anticipated WWDC event was on the horizon, here you go. As noted by 9to5Mac, Apple has started hanging WWDC banners at the Moscone Center.

Apple used its World Wide Developers Conference to unveil iOS 5 last year, but it has also been known to use the opportunity to show off new hardware. So what can we expect from this year's event? Keep reading...

Rumor: Apple launching feature-complete Apple TV software for iTV at WWDC

According to a new report, Apple is readying a much more feature-complete version of the operating system that drives its Apple TV set-top box.

Sources tell it's also bound to power that rumored HD TV set. It wasn't immediately clear from the report whether the enhanced OS will also support the $99 hockey puck and how it might tie with iOS 6.

The company will allegedly launch it at the upcoming WWDC developers conference in San Francisco which begins with a keynote on June 11 at 10am PST...

Apple releases WWDC app and conference schedule

Apple has just posted on its website a list of WWDC 2012 events and conference schedules. If you're among the lucky ones who managed to snag tickets on time, chances are you'll be lost in over a hundred sessions and labs. Don't worry, there's an app for that, too...

WWDC alternative Indiedevlab announces Saurik and other speakers

Late last month, Apple finally put the tickets for its highly-anticipated WWDC event up for sale. But within two hours, the tickets were gone, leaving hundreds of developers out to dry. Luckily, there's another option.

If you're going to be in the San Francisco area around June 11-14, you might want to check out Indiedevlab. No, Scott Forstall won't be there giving a rundown of iOS 6 features. But Saurik and others will be attending...

Apple reportedly canceling WWDC tickets for some, citing no-transfer policy

Following a fiasco with WWDC 2012 tickets which saw West Coast-based developers gasping after seeing that WWDC tickets had already sold out by the time they woke up, Apple is now apparently emailing some developers to inform them that their ticket purchase was “not eligible”. Ouch!

Apple is apparently canceling the $1,599 ticket purchases over a no-transfer policy. WWDC 2012 tickets are in high demand this year so some people readily turn to eBay to make a quick profit, such as this guy...

IndieDevLab: a WWDC alternative for developers

Early yesterday morning, Apple put 2012 WWDC tickets up for sale. The World Wide Developer Conference is a popular meeting place for both iOS and Mac developers, featuring hands-on workshops and previews of Apple's latest software.

It's so popular, in fact, that tickets sold out in a matter of a few hours yesterday — leaving thousands of people disappointed. Luckily, some guys got together to create the IndieDevLab, an alternative conference for Apple developers...

Whoa, WWDC 2012 sells out in two hours

This is insane: tickets for Apple's WWDC 2012 conference, which was announced earlier this morning, sold out in mere two hours. Nevermind the $1,599 price tag, tickets went on sale at 1:30pm GMT and by 3:30pm sold out.

In a way, Apple - itself based on the West Coast - screwed developers on the West Coast who woke up to the news that the year's most important event has already sold out. Here's to the hoping they put into effect a staged ticket roll-out on a per-region basis next year so all United States-based developers get fair treatment.

This year's WWDC, which runs June 11-15 at San Francisco's Moscone West, looks to be Apple's most popular developer conference yet. I wonder if monster quarterly stats released yesterday and speculation of an iOS 6 preview could have anything to do with such a high interest...
