As mentioned in our previous post about UltraSn0w, this will only work with iPhone 4 baseband 1.59.00, and iPhone 3G/3GS basebands 4.26.08, 5.11.07, 5.12.01, 5.13.04, and 6.15.00.
If your baseband is different from these, then you can't unlock for the time being. If your baseband matches one of those above but you are on an older firmware, use PwnageTool to update while preserving the baseband.

Following the release of the updated PwnageTool 4.3.2 jailbreak tool, the iPhone Dev Team has also pushed out an update to the UltraSn0w unlock in Cydia.
UltraSn0w 1.2.2 has been released to support the new iOS 4.3.2 firmware, as the previous version of UltraSn0w (1.2.1) was broken in iOS 4.3.2. Last week we told you about a new unlock service called CutYourSim that offered a remote, permanent unlock for the iPhone. Instead of the classic method of jailbreaking and installing UltraSn0w, CutYourSim claimed to permanently unlock your iPhone's baseband remotely for any GSM carrier.
For $169.99, the folks at CutYourSim would be able to unlock your iPhone's baseband and keep it unlocked forever. Sounds like a dream come true, right?

Yay, we got a jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2! Ok, but what's up with the unlock? My guess is that the Dev Team is working on updating PwnageTool for 4.3.2 compatibility. When they release PwnageTool, most likely in the coming days, they will also update their UltraSn0w unlock.

UltraSn0w 1.2.1 will unlock the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 on baseband 01.59.00, 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, and 06.15.00.
If you are on any of these basebands, you can update to iOS 4.3.1 while preserving your baseband using PwnageTool. If your baseband is different from the one listed above, I'm afraid there is no unlock for you at this time...
