In today’s collection, we bring to you seven dark, minimalist abstract wallpapers inspired by the quiet elegance of eclipses, where shadow and light come together to create a nice effect. Black is the dominant shade throughout most of these wallpapers, with small hints of white, gray, blue, yellow, and green along the edges. If you’re a fan of dark appearances on your iPhone or Android because you use your phone indoors or at night most of the time, then these wallpapers are sure to be a hit with you.

Like several of my recent wallpaper collections, this one is by the incredible ᴀɴ ᴡᴀʟʟᴘᴀᴘᴇʀꜱ 𝕩 who goes by @aan__x on X and @aanwallpapers on Telegram. He posts new wallpapers regularly on his public X account, and following him lets me have amazing new backdrops for my iPhone on a regular basis.
These black and charcoal gray wallpapers are designed to be visually calming and to keep the icons and widgets on your Lock Screen and Home Screen clear without sacrificing style. In comparison, busy patterns and complex illustrations in a wallpaper often make it harder to see the app names and don’t always separate the background and the on-screen elements, especially if you go with an unblurred wallpaper style.
If you like minimal distractions and timeless aesthetics, these wallpapers are sure to turn your phone screen into a modern canvas of light and shadow.
Of the seven, the gray-black one is my favorite, with the beige one coming in close second. Which one do you like the most?
Along with daily new Apple tutorials, we also post new wallpaper collections a couple of times every week. Follow us on X and Facebook at @iDownloadBlog to get informed.
