Beginning this week, the 2026 FIFA World Cup started on June 11, 2026. An international event that brings the world together, with similar intensity as the Olympics, and hosted by the United States, with some matches also in Mexico and Canada. Games are being played across the countries in 16 different cities. This Cup is the first to be hosted by three nations and since 2002 and expands to 48 teams, previously 32 being the most. My favorite of the World Cup inspired wallpapers for iPhone are listed first and second. Up first is a very minimal wallpaper of the pitch inside a larger football stadium. The simplicity found in the grass lines, where you can see intentionality in the way the pitch is maintained. A rich, light green color almost offers a gradient-green experience. Secondly, this pitch found deep in a wooded forest looks like a place of tranquility. When setting as your Lock Screen, use two fingers to pinch/zoom and pull the field below the clock widget. It will fit perfectly as a background.
