Joshua Tree iPhone wallpaper
The easiest way to spot a photograph of the greater Joshua Tree area is the succulent colloquially called “the Joshua Tree.” This plant is not actually a tree, in the pure definition of the term. Named for the biblical figure Joshua by Mormon settlers, the Yucca brevifolia plant appears to have outstretched limbs that guided these travelers on their journey west.
Typically, the Joshua Tree has a single trunk, according to the National Wildlife Federation, and grow three to nine feet tall before branching. They can also be found in the Mojave Desert, in southwestern United States.

First, a sunrise comes through several Joshua Trees, with a contrasting shadow in the foreground. Second, the Milky Way galaxy appears in the sky above a bright desert floor.
