Picasso updated to v3 open beta 4 with smaller file size & several more bug fixes

Picasso, the jailed toolbox that offers customizations for kfd exploit-vulnerable arm64e devices running iOS & iPadOS 16.0-16.6 beta 1, received another update on Wednesday, this time to version 3, open beta 4.

The latest update, announced via the project’s Discord server by lead developer @sourcelocation, appears to introduce the following changes:

– Fixed preferences pages of tweaks randomly not remembering the settings
– If one of the tweaks crashes Picasso while in background refresh, upon the next launch background refresh will be disabled. Fixes “Crash after Exploiting…” bug reports.
– Decreased file size of app from 7.30MB to 3.59MB (bomberfish forgot to remove 2 test images 2MB each
– Fixed TrollStore unavailable alert on home screen. Should now display appropriately.
– If Picasso is installed through TrollStore it will now use Exploit Method – None by default. This will break some tweaks for now, but will allow entering the app even if exploit is failing.
– Fancy new banner for updates

As a toolbox app, Picasso offers a plethora of features for devices susceptible to the kfd exploit. Not only can you use the app to customize iOS or iPadOS, but you can also use it to install TrollStore v2 on supported firmware.
