CloseAll makes quick work of force-quitting all App Switcher apps

For the most part, you shouldn’t be force-closing apps from your App Switcher unless you’re having a problem with them because suspending apps there is your iPhone’s way of optimizing performance upon the next time you go to use those apps.

CloseAll for jailbroken App Switchers.

But if you just can’t help yourself, and you find yourself force-closing apps when you’re finished with them anyways, then a new and free jailbreak tweak called CloseAll by iOS developer ETHN makes quick work of it.

As you can see in the screenshot examples above, CloseAll adds a dedicated close button to the App Switcher that, when tapped, forcefully closes all apps present there.

You might have also noticed the small purple lock buttons at the tops of certain App Switcher cards. These allow you to prevent certain apps from being forcefully closed, like Now Playing apps such as Music or Spotify, or an app that you may want to keep running in the background.

With no options to configure, CloseAll is a fairly simple tweak accompanied by an easy-to-use interface that looks so stock-friendly that Apple could have designed it themselves. Of course, they didn’t.

If you’re interested in giving CloseAll a try, then you can download the tweak for free from the Havoc repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 15 and 16 devices and is open source on the developer’s GitHub page for anyone who wants to see how it works under the hood.
