Appabetical lets TrollStore users sort Home Screen app icons in various ways

If you’re looking for a new way to take advantage of TrollStore on your iPhone or iPad, jailbroken or not, then you might find a new perma-signable app called Appabetical by iOS developers Avangelista ad sourcelocation to be somewhat interesting.

Appabetical sorts Home Screen icons.

Appabetical is an app that can sort your Home Screen’s app icons with just a tap. Currently, the icon supports each of the following sorting modes:

  • Sort alphabetically A to Z
  • Sort alphabetically Z to A
  • Sort by app icon color

Appabetical also supports the following useful user-friendly features:

  • Choosing specific Home Screen pages to sort
  • Sort individual Home Screen pages independently of others
  • Sort folders included or excluded with Home Screen page sorting
  • Back up and undo previous Home Screen sorts

Citing the /r/jailbreak release thread, it seems like the developer is considering adding another sort option: when apps were last used. More features like this are likely to pop up in future updates as they’re requested by users.

Appabetical is available as a free download from the developer’s GitHub page, where it’s also open source. Using it requires TrollStore, which supports iOS & iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 betas). TrollStore does not require a jailbreak, but it will work on a jailbroken device.
