In an effort to help drum up interest in its newest EV, Kia is offering a sweet deal: a free Apple Watch if you’re lucky enough to secure the right model.
Kia is offering a free gift for those who are lucky enough to get their hands on one of the first 2022 EV6 First Edition models. The gift will go out to the first 1,500 customers who pick up the electric automobile. After that initial batch is bought up, no more free Apple Watches for customers who buy the vehicle.
The news was first reported today by CNET. Kia is hoping to sweeten the deal for any potential customer considering the brand new 2022 EV6 First Edition. But the Apple-branded smartwatch isn’t the only part of the deal. Kia will also offer up an at-home EV charger or charging credits, too. Customers will choose one of the three options when they buy their new car.
Kia hopes folks who pick the Apple Watch will be quick to utilize the company’s Connect services. Those are bundled with the vehicle. They will allow owners to start or stop their automobile from the watch directly, check charging status, and much more.
All of this for Kia’s first fully-electric crossover sport utility vehicle, or SUV. It features a 77.4kWh battery, 513HP, a dual-motor e-AWD, and an augmented reality-powered heads up display. Kia says that with an appropriate charger, the EV6 can get up to 210 miles in just 18 minutes. It can reach 60mph in 5.2 seconds.

Kia will open reservations for the 2022 EV6 on June 3. Customers who order one will have to wait to get it, though. The company won’t start deliveries in the United States until the first quarter of 2022.
