The ZAGGfolio gets a 29% discount today only

I just got a note from the fine folks at ZAGG that the ZAGGfolio, their iPad 2 keyboard case, is on sale today only for $70.99 instead of $99.99.

While I haven't personally tested the ZAGGfolio, I never had any problem with my ZAGGmate. I really like how you can customize the look and feel of your ZAGGfolio as you can pick the cover and color of the folio, but also the color of the keyboard...

More evidence surfaces of upcoming Apple TV refresh

Unofficial factory unlock service for iPhone CutYourSim is back

CutYourSim, the unofficial official service that offers permanent factory unlocks for a variety of devices, has started proposing factory unlocks for the iPhone 4S and other models.

The company gained in popularity last year when it was one of the first to offer that type of service, until Apple cracked down on them and similar services that had been flourishing all over the net, forcing them to stop their activity.

But it looks like CutYourSim figured out how to get around those restrictions, as the company announced this morning that it is now taking orders for official and permanent unlock solutions for iPhones...

The BlackBerry loses another government agency to the iPhone

Research In Motion is having a bit of a hard time of late. Their BlackBerry brand of smartphones are seeing slower sales than the Canadian firm is accustomed to, and the company's PlayBook tablet is floundering at best.

Business across the globe are dropping BlackBerry as their smartphone handset and business software provider in droves, and now it appears that there is another nail being driven into the RIM coffin, with the news that The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is dropping BlackBerry in favor of the iPhone.

The ATF's Chief Information Office claims that the agency is going to "delete the BlackBerry form the mix," which cannot be good reading for RIM's latest CEO...

How to enable Notifications for Tweetbot

Before you think to yourself how obvious the answer to that question is, let me assure you that I receive this question many times a day, especially after doing a video where I receive a Tweetbot banner notification.

Setting up banner notifications in Tweetbot may seem like a no-brainer to most of us, but there still remains a fair amount of people who find it confusing — my email inbox is a testament to that fact.

With this in mind, I felt we were long overdue for a tutorial that shows how to enable notifications for Tweetbot.

Two years ago, Twitter introduced 'Promoted Products', which are essentially ways for companies to advertise across the Twitter platform and gives Twitter the ability to make revenue. Companies can sign-up for Promoted Accounts, Tweets, and Trends as a way to bring notice to their service.

Today, Twitter announced that their iPhone app will start featuring Promoted Products. The advertising service was included in the latest Twitter for iOS update released last week. The Twitter crew will start sending out more Promoted Tweets, Accounts, and Trends to mobile devices over the next few weeks...
