Football season is in full swing once again, and just like last year, Verizon is offering its customers free streaming of live local and primetime games every weekend within the NFL Mobile app.

If you are a Verizon customer, this means that you will be able to stream local games as determined by your location, Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, and Monday Night Football. To make the offer even more appealing, Verizon will not count the data used for NFL Mobile streaming against your data cap.

Additionally, Verizon customers can purchase a subscription to NFL Redzone for a discounted price of $1.99 per month. With NFL Redzone, subscribers can see every single touchdown live around the league for the entirety of the lengthy NFL season. If you already subscribe to NFL Redzone in your cable package, you can also log in with your cable provider login information and access it that way as well.

This feature is not excessively advertised by Verizon or the NFL, so many Verizon customers do not know this is available to them. If you are a fan of professional football and a Verizon customer, you should consider downloading the NFL Mobile app for free on the App Store.

Are you going to download NFL Mobile and enjoy some live football this weekend? Let us know in the comments.

  • Meh, too much politics in sports these days. Any interest I had was lost a long time ago.

    • Steve Harold

Oh I would love to boycott the NFL after the crap that’s happened and the disrespect, but I love football so much!

Verizon does have a good deal though, although, I have AT&T with Direct TV with Sunday Ticket and free streaming.

  • iBanks

Even if it wasn’t free, I’ll gladly enjoy such app. $1.99 a month? I’m with that.

  • White Michael Jackson

Luckily I dont give a damn about the politics im there for the sport. This is still a good deal for verizon although i wish i could hack to use with other carriers

    • Vinnie Bones

Finally! someone who enjoys football regardless of all the drama.

For those boycotting or whatever, I’m pretty sure that doesn’t keep Roger Goodell awake at night… and the NFL’s been around for a very long time, football will be just fine.

  • Does it work for Apple TV as well?

  • nonchalont

Sucks Verizon does not allow Airplay with that. FIX THAT NOW VERIZON!!!! …..please 🙂
….or it actually might be the NFL app.

    • AD

Verizon doesn’t have a choice, their contract with the NFL only allows mobile streaming and casting games to TVs violate their agreement. It works both ways, with several of the internet TV services like YouTube TV unable to broadcast live games on mobile phones.

  • MacServiceGuy

now you can watch all the american traiters for free in the verizon app!

    • billss

The flag stands for American values. One of the most sacred values is protest. To protest the flag itself is paying it and our country the HIGHEST honor. No American has to like how another American protests, but we DO have to defend their right to do so.

  • billss

Can’t cast to a TV. Can’t even watch on a tablet (can only watch on a phone). And…can’t watch any out-of-market games…only what’s available on TV anyway. Pretty worthless.

    • Earned Knowledge

yep, you nailed it. this only lets you watch what is already in your living room over the air broadcast on your phone, nice if you need to be really mobile, but in that case a radio is probably just as good!

  • The cheapest way…watch Every NFL games live streaming online….
I bought a subscription on >> NFLSPORTSTV .COM for $29/year.
I can highly recommend it for you guys if you are in work or just don’t have TV around you.
