Was it me or did the pricing slide also show that the 12.9 Pro will also be available in 256GB?

  • rockdude094

I like how they trash talked windows users… isn’t it a compliment that their device is actually working and still productive after 5 years ?

    • Martin 

Exactly my thought. If those machines are useable after 5 years it’s good thing 🙂

    • therealjjohnson

I didn’t think they trashed them. He also said more than 5 years. 5 year old technology isn’t great. I doubt anyone in the tech industry would think having a 5 year old computer was great.

      • Computers costs too much to upgrade so often. My mac is over 5 years old and still runs without a hitch. Is that not a good thing??? Please explain to me how that’s in anyway bad.

      • therealjjohnson

I didn’t say it was bad. What I said that anyone in the tech industry wouldn’t think it was great.

One could argue that you technology is lacking however. Running good for you maybe horrible for someone else. Will an iPhone from 5 years ago work now? Yup. But compared to the 6S it’s not a great choice.

I’m sure the heads of MS and Windows wouldn’t and don’t use 5 year old machines. Technology doubles every 18 months. His statement wasn’t trashing…it was honest.

      • It runs snappy just like the macs in the store.

      • therealjjohnson

Your 5 year old Mac is not as fast as the ones in the store. And if you could afford it, you’d have the one in the store and not one from 2011. Let’s not kid ourselves.

      • You can’t tell me how my Mac runs. It works the same. I’ll upload a video for you if you want.

      • therealjjohnson

It can’t run as fast because it’s not faster. Processors aren’t even the same 5 years ago. I have no doubt your machine isn’t slow. But to say it’s just as fast a the ones in the store would be overstating it, woudnt it?

      • It’s just as snappy. Now granted, I’m really only using safari, office suite apps, and Netflix mainly since I’m in school and don’t have time for gaming. But for the basic function is say it’s just as fast. It certainly wasn’t considered slow when it first came out.

  • Martin 

What about prices for LTE versions? Who would buy iPad without modem?

    • Zack Morris

    • The article has been updated with cellular version prices!

      • Martin 

Yes, I see 🙂 Europe prices are total rippoff

  • Church Said

699 euro (788 usd) in Europe for the base model ! Gosh!

  • Jose Gonzalez

I don’t get it. On the picture in this article with the iPad lineup it shows the iPad mini for $269 but on Apple’s website it currently does not show an iPad mini. They only show the iPad mini 2 and 4. The iPad mini 2 shows a price of $269. So are they just going to get rid of the current mini 2 and 4 and just call it the iPad mini and price it at $269 (With the iPad mini 4’s specs?)?

    • tvbi

it means the iPad minis (including the mini 2 and mini 4) starting at $269. So for $269, it will buy you a mini 2.

      • Jose Gonzalez

        I see, thanks!

    • iPad mini 2 is what is meant.

      • Jose Gonzalez

        Thanks for the clarification.

  • Oscar

    I don’t think there is a 32GB Air 2..

iPad Air 2 now starts at $399. Here are the prices for this model:

    16GB Wi-Fi-only at $399

    32GB Wi-Fi and cellular at $529 (Error??)

    64GB Wi-Fi-only at $499

    64GB Wi-Fi and cellular at $629

    • Fixed, thanks! Meant 16GB!

      • Oscar

No problemo! 32GB would have been awesome.

  • Rowan09

Hold on the 256GB iPad Pro only costs $1099 which is $20 more than the 128GB. I think this is a mistake.

  • JayDee917

I was originally pissed this was going to be an overpriced Pro product. I take that back.

$729 for the 32gb cellular option is actually the same price as the iPad Air 2 with similar configuration. I’ll be getting this one.

    • Mohammed Sahib

At this price, the iPad air 2 has 64 GB of storage, so you are giving up half the storage for a more powerful device with better accessories, not bad IMO. I am curious to see how the iPad Air 3 will turn out. I am guessing 3D touch and an even faster processor, but no Apple pencil or keyboard cover support.

      • JayDee917

        Oh yeah you’re right, I forgot there isn’t a 32GB iPad Air 2.

But I highly doubt there will be an iPad Air 3. There’s just too much crowding in the iPad model line as it is.

      • Mohammed Sahib

Probably you are right. But there is already a macbook pro, macbook air and the new 2015 macbook with multiple configurations for each. And there is also 3 iphone sizes and 5 iphone models for sale. Apple is not the same company it used to be, and this is a good thing IMO as giving the customer more choices is not bad.

  • Elias Chao

Same price for the 64GB wifi iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini with 64GB? Why?

    • Oscar

Wow didn’t notice that. Good observation!

  • Manuel

does anyone know where I can find the wallpapers that they used in the keynote today? if so please link them down below
