iPhone 7 design schematis Catcher Technology NowhereElse leak 001

Leaked third-party cases based on various iPhone 7 rumors have seemingly corroborated the notion that the device will have stereo speakers, a thinner Lightning port, dual cameras on the back and more.

Claimed device schematics, published by French blog NowhereElse.fr, appear to confirm that the iPhone 7 has a nearly flush camera and no antenna seams on the back.

CAD renderings, reportedly leaked from Taiwan-based Apple supplier Catcher Technology, depict what is most likely the upcoming iPhone 7.

While the handset design resembles a refined iPhone 6/6s look and feel, there are no horizontal antenna bands on the back, except for a thinner line at the device’s sides at the bottom. In addition, a much larger camera cutout on the back suggests the rear camera lens will be almost flush with the housing.

The design results in a “slight bulging outgrowth” versus today’s protruding lens in the iPhone 6/6s series, observes NowhereElse.fr. The 3.5mm headphone jack hole is notably absent from design schematics.

The source of the leak claims that the iPhone 7 will be slightly thinner than that of the current-generation iPhone 6s.

Apple is holding a media event on March 21, the day before its court showdown with the FBI. We’re expecting to see not only a new four-inch iPhone SE model introduced at the event, but also a smaller 9.7-inch iPad Pro and some new Apple Watch bands.

I’ll admit, I am a fan of the Apple products. But what pisses me off about these types of articles is that iDownloadBlog, CNet, MacRumors, MacDailyNews and others – they ALL post articles on the leaks. The new iPhone will have “this” feature and “that” feature and then when Apple announces the new iPhone, the same companies will be the first to say that (since they already knew everything) how boring the event was or how they weren’t surprised. Well no crap. It just seems weird that they leak it all and then bitch about it’s “nothing new and exciting”.

    • When did this happen on IDB?

    • iPhoneWINS

Um no… these upgrades are boring even when we find out the leaks… apple is just not exciting anymore just lucky for them neither his anyone else..lol … this “7” looks the same as the damn 6… I’m only getting it cause jin skipped the bring 6S which was also the same as the 6

Do you want a completely different size? Perhaps not round edges but sharp ones? What do you want to change to the design of the iphone?

      • Xee

I agree. Might skip this version as I did the last. Just no real incentive to upgrade anymore. s7 edge looks more and more enticing just cant be bothered with buying/getting new apps etc. but then the lack of jailbreaks is pushing me slowly away as well.
Really need a couple of wow features from Apple! I would like to to OMLED screen, upgrade-able memory (mini SD-card), bluetooth earphones included (no mic port), amazing battery life, better/same camera then s7 edge, like the Apple Pencil to work with iPhone Plus, move power button back on top, edgeless screen and do away with physical home button, waterproof…etc

You want some “wow” features and then begin to sum up the most generic features possible. these are not wow features, these are just nice to have features. They do not change the game at all.

      • Xee

Not dismissed, just sitting on the fence observing. They may be generic features but the iPhone still doesn’t have them.
Another feature I would like is magnetic connect charge cables like the MacBooks had/have.

It usually is boring that the selling point of the phone will most likely be “no antenna bands and no headphone port” that’s BS considering most people still use wired headphones

  • Saulo Benigno

Antennas only on the hand? Again?

  • Romi

How can anybody see a flush back ? The bump is CLEARLY visible if you check how the light hit the upper part of the camera… It’s not flush at all.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can see what looks like the arrangements for a headphone jack to be properly screwed into place on the bottom left portion of the device when it faces you. I’ve taken apart the iPhone 6/6S models and they look like that. I’m hoping they don’t do away with the headphone jack…

Yawwwwn… I’ll wait for 8 then if that is the real deal. So over the 6/6s design.
