iKross Cup Holder Mount 1

If air vent iPhone 6 mounts are not your thing, don’t worry. There are other ways to display your device in your car. For example, a cup holder mount keeps your smartphone off of your windshield and doesn’t cover up your vent, causing worrisome heating or cooling fears.

The iKross Cup Holder Mount works with smartphones and tablets. So, you can use it to help direct you to a location or let the kiddies use it to watch movies in the back seat.

The mount comes with two separate holders, one for a smartphone and one for a tablet. The smartphone holder supports devices that range in width from two to 3.7 inches. Your iPhone 6 will fit just fine. So will the iPhone 6 Plus. And, because it is universal, it supports any device that ranges between two and 3.7-inches wide, even your iPod touch.

The tablet holder supports devices that range from seven to 10.1 inches. So, you can use an iPad mini or even a full size iPad. It is universal, so if you prefer Samsung, Acer, or Lenovo to Apple, you will still be able to use it, as long as your tablet is between seven and 10.1 inches. The holder also has extended arms for wider depth and longer length.

The holder is adjustable as it sits on a ball joint. You can rotate your iPhone 6 in just about any angle for the optimum viewing. It rotates up to 180 degrees in portrait or landscape mode.

Cup holders are not universal. The base of the iKross can be widened to fit any cup holder with a diameter up to 3.75. The cup mount arm length reaches 5.5 inches.

The mount is also designed to allow you to connect your iPhone 6 to a charger or your car’s audio system. The ports are exposed so you can easily access the Lightning and audio jack.

The iKross Cup Holder Mount comes in black and is available on Amazon for $23. Because the smartphone holder supports devices as wide as 3.7 inches, it works with both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

What do you think of this cup holder mount? Would you prefer it to an air vent mount?

I am personally not a fan of items that trade functionality for functionality. I prefer to have my cup holders.

Be thankful you have cup holders. BMW cupholders are awful and not practical at all.

Cars shouldn’t have cup holders, only nasty Americans do. Or with minivans.

So we shouldn’t have anything to hold water bottles if we’ve been driving longer than 4 hours and thirsty. I guess I’m proud to be a hydrated, nasty American. 🙂

I definitely agree. Who’s idea was it to put them right by the vents?

Wow, this article repeated itself quite a bit. I also noticed a lot of repeated sentences in the article.
