when will they fix the issue of third party keyboards with the Contacts app, being unable to delete if you make a mistake typing the contact?

    • Good question. iOS 8.3?

    • wow

People use the contacts app o_O?

      • Just because YOU don’t doesn’t mean that other people don’t. I have been using Contacts since it was a desktop-only app on the Mac back in 2007 when the iPhone first came out. I synced all my contacts manually and then since the introduction of iCloud I have been syncing them in the cloud. I have over 300 contacts that I need to manage and I am constantly adding and removing them.

      • Joshua The-Legend Wiebe

Honestly I think they should remove the contacts app and integrate it with the phone, messaging and any other third party apps. Same with the stock app, should just be in notifications with the weather, and the notes with reminders integrated with notifications, messaging and other apps. IMO

      • Chang in Charge

Just all the apps bundled up together in notifications? Contacts with phone and messages makes sense, kind of, unless of course we see a revamped contacts experience in the future. The stocks app is useless even if you do follow stocks its ugly. Notes I use all the time and makes no sense being combined with reminders. The reminders app is horrible and needs a visual overhaul.

      • FreeGreezyDoe

isnt it easier to just use the phone app?

      • RarestName

My iPad doesn’t have the phone app.

      • kron1k 

That’s a lot of contacts to add and delete…just curious how’s your battery usage on the contacts app?

      • sam graves

Umm…what else do you use to keep all your contacts’ numbers, addresses, etc? o_O, indeed.

      • kron1k 

        In my Rolodex

    • Vishal Jain

They have fixed it but only on 8.3 beta

      • ericesque

Sooo… when is that public iOS beta starting again?

Can’t wait for 3rd party keyboard support to finally work.

      • ck125

Supposed to be sometime in March. Maybe they will discuss it at their upcoming event

    • Manuel Molina

From my understanding, many third party keyboards developers have said that Apple has a very controlish way on how developers can actually do the work to produce a keyboard and put on the App Store. A lot of developers have voiced this concern, though, it could be bull. But it could make sense to force users to pretend to have an option but end up using the iPhone keyboard still in the end.

  • El Matador

Followed by a Jailbreak! Fingers crossed!

  • Matta Fakt

It would be nice if Control Center worked on the lock screen more than 40% of the time.

    • Dany Quirion

Works a 100% for me lol

    • Chris Buck

The tweak Mikoto from Karen’s pineapple repo fixes that. Sometimes CC would not come up if in a video but now does with that free tweak.

    • FreeGreezyDoe

get simplecenters or ccfix8 both work

    • Out5poken

I witnessed that bug today! I thought I was going mad as im sure i had accessed the flashlight and calculator this way before or that I turned off the function in settings somehow but cleary it’s supposed to work.

  • Jairo Duque

Where is the link for downloading the GM?

    • Why not just wait a couple of days for it to be released officially?

  • Linton Findlay

Third party keyboards fix would be nice

    • ranova

apparently they are fixed in 8.3; can’t believe all these changes took priority over that…

      • Linton Findlay

Yhh silly they couldn’t bring some of the fixes forward from the beta

  • Martynet

fixing the keyboard issue would be great… I really like SwiftKey, because it automatically switches between two languages I use and also has the emoticons, which means that instead of 3 different keyboard (apple stock) I can use just one… But it just doesn’t work every time. Especially in Messages app when keyboard just doesn’t show up. So annoying.

  • Jacque Miller

Hopefully this finally fixes my safari issue, just about everytime I go to landscape mode on my 6+ Safari crashes. The only tweak I have installed for safari is platinum.

    • Elias Chao

That might be the tweak, Safari in landscape mode works flawless on my i6+.

  • maverickmax

hope they don’t make the biggest ios release the largest download release//

  • Jason Baroni

After it all, Apple will still release iOS 9 to fix every other resting bug; this is a lot of fix, and a lot of issues too…

    • Dany Quirion

      Ios 8.3 next month tho

      • Jason Baroni

Yes… but looking at the big picture, there are so, so, so many buys to fix that it feels strange.

  • Armen M.

When I listen to music (default music app, spotify, etc…) using headphones or Bluetooth in my car, volume sporadically decreases by half. I then pause and press play, volume goes back up…Anyone having this issue? thx !

    • RayRayBeav

Yes, most of the time my volume will go down when I get a notification and stay down on until I get another notification. And I know it’s not just this iPhone 6, because I had to have my first one replaced due to a issue with my silent switc, that iPhone had the same glitch.

    • Sam

Do you have facebook open by any chance when this happens

      • Yeah, this happens to me when I open Facebook. How odd

      • Sam

yeah seems to be a bug. Once you close facebook, volume should go back to normal

  • Edwin

Didn’t mention that jailbreak would be available soon after

  • still looking to get ios 5 back <3

    • Dany Quirion

Why? To have back the stability or the ugly UI?

  • Chang in Charge

Not sure if this is a bug or just more of an annoyance or missing feature but I hate that messages between my Mac and iPhone aren’t truly synced if both are on then yes the messages match. But conversations I have on my iPhone don’t get synced to my mac once the mac is on. So usually there are large chunks of conversations missing from messages once I do turn on the mac.

  • Everythingapplespro

iOS 8.2 is being released to the public on Monday, iOS 8.3 beta 3 will be released Monday to developers which will include the Apple Watch Comparison Application, then shortly after, iOS 8.4 beta 1 will be released to developers.

  • fregata

what about wifi issues? On my 5s, wifi connectivity is terrible without jailbreak tweak.

  • TwinSon

Couldn’t help but notice they omitted a Bug fix. Namely “Addresses an issue that prevented third party keyboards from actually being usable”.

  • Jim B

Does anyone have any idea how to fix WiFi issue? After updating to 8.1.3 WiFi disappears most of the time or it keeps connecting and disconnecting like crazy. I’ve basically tried everything from resetting the networks to restoring the damn thing as new but the same issue. It worked just fine prior to 8.1.3
This is an iPad 4 I am talking about
My other iDevices work just fine on 8.1.1 and 8.1.2

    • Kr00

Try deleting network settings and reconnect to your wifi.

  • Jon20

Has anyone lost their landscape split screen feature in Settings, Messages & Mail apps that was stock in iOS after the TaiG JB? I lost that and I haven’t been able to get it back. Please help!!!

  • Brendalee

I have a problem with new songs that i buy off of iTunes syncing in the wrong order or not automatically appearing in the purchased folder on my iPhone 6+. Anyone else?

  • Jamessmooth

If iOS 8.2 is supposed to bring support for Apple Watch (my brain still wants to type “iWatch”), it seemed odd to me that Apple would release it before their Spring event.

  • Rowan09

I don’t believe it’s an Apple issue its a Pioneer issue as far as I know that’s still not fixed. I don’t believe this issue exist with Alpine but with my pioneer unit it doesn’t work.

    • Chris Tangler

i mean on stock radios…i have a chevy mylink radio and ios 7 worked jsut fine…installed stock ios 8 and problems…its extremely well documented on apples community support spanning multiple vehicle makes/models.

    • Richard Davidson

It is happening with my duel radio also

      • Richard Davidson

And now I have 8.2 and it’s not working still

      • Rowan09

Oh ok. Since IOS 8 this issue exist and even on the new App Radio you still can’t have full function but it’s has CarPlay. Maybe it’s a way to push CarPlay I guess.

  • marg

What anout the flashing blue screen when closing running applications from the app switcher?

  • Alberto Espinal

    App crashes!!

  • Rodney Coleman

    Not worth upgrading

  • GuyBey0ndC00L

Where the fix lag and stability with party keyboards.

  • chris

    battery? hello? bluetooth? wifi drop?

  • Mauricio Figueroa

I hope they have fixed the problems with the alarms not working in the stock clock app on iOS 8.1.2, it’s annoying to be always wondering if your iPhone is going to sound to wake you up.

  • Varun Soi

Just waiting for release and then i wait for jalbreak.!

  • Brenda Canalejo

Updates worse every time one is done! Now on Facebook you can only back arrow once on the notification, then you cannot check notification again unless you turn it off & on again or go the setting and back out again; then it will only let you do that a few times before you have no choice but to turn it off and back on again. Yep, I am so ready to throw away all my apple equipment….
