Apple has posted a new version of its Apple TV software this afternoon, bringing the firmware to 6.0.1. The release follows a number of app updates this week, including those for its iLife and iWork suites.
On Tuesday, Apple added a new channel to its set-top box called iMovie Theater, which is a companion app for the latest versions of iMovie that enables clip-sharing. But as for today’s Apple TV update…
Actually, Apple has yet to update the software update page for ATV with the change log for version 6.0.1, so we’re not yet sure what, if any, changes it contains. But we’re currently installing it on our devices.
If you’d like to check it out, the update is available via OTA, which you can access by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update from your ATV’s main menu, or as full firmware on our Downloads page.
