itunes movie sale

Ok movie buffs, listen up. Apple just launched a major iTunes movie bundle sale that would put the $4.99 Blu-Ray tub at Walmart to shame. There’s dozens of different bundles available, of various genres, starting at just $9.99.

I myself have already grabbed the Matrix Trilogy for $9.99, as well as Taken 1 and 2 for the same price. There’s also the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Jurassic Park trilogy, and several other movie sets/bundles to choose from…

Apple notes this special promotion is only running for a limited time. So if you see something you like below, you may not want to wait too long. All links are for the US App Store (not sure if sale is International).

  • The Lord of the Rings Trilogy – $9.99 (normally $44.97)
  • The Bourne Collection – $29.99 (normally $59.96)
  • The X-Men Quadrilogy – $29.99 (normally $59.96)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1-3 – $9.99 (normally $44.97)
  • The Matrix Trilogy – $9.99 (normally $44.97)
  • The Jurassic Park Bundle – $19.99 (normally $44.97)

And the list goes on and on. It’s worth noting that all of these prices are for the High Definition versions of the films. Standard Definition versions of the movies are also available, at a slight discount, for those that would prefer them.

Update: well it was fun while it lasted. It looks like Apple has upped the pricing on the bundles—Harry Potter collection is now $60, for example. Hopefully you were able to download some movies before that happened.

I just checked: not available in the Philippines. This is probably US only.

    • unabatedshagie

Yeah, they don’t work in the UK either. Shame, I’d have liked to get the Matrix and Lord of the Rings ones.

  • Sokrates

  • Nicholas Osborne

  • Gorgonphone

  • rnorthboy

they just modified the prices. damn!

  • darthblu3

I’m not seeing these prices. HP is $60, which is good, but it’s not $10

    • chumawumba

You have to open it in the iTunes app itself to display the deal

    • Kevin Guzman

True, price went up, but to be honest $60 for all 8 films in HD is a much better deal than buying them individually anywhere else.

  • Chris Mark

    NOT in canada

  • John

Was very excited to read this until I clicked on the link. iTunes as a sale price of $59.99 for the Complete Collection not $9.99. And that Matrix Trilogy is $17.99 not $9.99. Was these prices an error before or did the great deal end? Or is it not in the US?

  • rosssimpson

    Apparently the $9.99 was a mistake 🙁

  • chumawumba

I bought Harry Potter for $10, and they changed the pricing mid-purchase. NOOOOO!!!!

  • Yujin

Most of it $19 and Harry potter is $60

  • Darla Mack

I was able to get LOTR before the price change so I’m happy about that! Had already bought the HP bundle when it was $59.99.
