TinyUmbrella Updated to Bring Support for iOS 5 GM

By , Oct 5, 2011

TinyUmbrella, the handy tool that lets you save your SHSH blobs and easily restore to a previous firmware if needed, has been updated to version 5.0b7. This new version doesn’t bring anything new but support for iOS 5 GM, which was released yesterday.

If you have updated your iDevice to iOS 5 GM, it would be a good idea to run TinyUmbrella and make sure your SHSH blobs are safe. That is if you even remotely care about jailbreaking…

For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, you can learn more about what SHSH blobs are here. We also have a detailed tutorial of the process, as well as a video. Make sure to check them out for more info.

As always, TinyUmbrella can be downloaded from our download section.

Why not link to the original website of the software? You can do without those few ad displays…
