Over the years, numerous people have asked me about my favorite jailbreak app. Depending on my mood, I might give one answer one week, and a totally different answer the next.

One thing that stays consistent though, is my recommendation of SBSettings. This integral app is one of the reasons why it hurts so much to use a non-jailbroken phone.

Just what is it that makes SBSettings receive unanimous high praise across the board? Check inside for the answer via video…

As you can see, there’s a reason why SBSettings was our honorary winner of our Best Jailbreak Apps of 2010 award. It truly does make the iPhone experience that much better.

Is there any specific reason why you find you cannot live without SBSettings? Let us know in the comments section below.

  • I used to love SBSettings except it was a battery eater..

    • Flimsy

      agreed 🙁

  • appletiser

on the contrary i find sbs a battery saver, so much so that my 3gs can go through 2 days on one charge if i so wish and all with just one swipe 🙂

    • Adam

I agree. It’s the absolute first thing I download from Cydia.

    • mplsboywonder

Couldn’t agree more. With the uber quick ability to lower brightness, turn of 3g, bluetooth, or when I am half asleep turn of the phone (antenna) . I would definitely say that SBSettings will save your battery.

  • SpideyRules

Totally necessary. I often have to switch from 3G to WiFi and back and forth, and would HATE to have to perform 4 or 5 taps as opposed to a swipe-n-single-tap that SBSettings provides.

  • anynomous

    what SBSettings theme is that?

    • It’s called Bold Retina. By far my favorite SBSettings theme.

      • iLive

Have you tried iRetina? I have it and it looks almost like apple made it themselves. It fits beautifully with the iPhone UI.

      • G

        That’s butters!!! try inavbar

      • Érico

is it necessary to download winterboard to apply themes to sbs?

  • Ernesto Castellanos

    I freaking love SBSettings
I use it often to change the brightness on the screen. And to turn on/off WiFi. And I also use quick note on it.

  • DomPerignon

You just said it right: “SBSettings in intself is reason enough to Jailbreak your iPhone.” Hands down, It is the most useful and practical app for the iPhone.

  • Burge

How many times have you picked up a none jailbroke iPhone and swipe the status bar ? … I’ll be lost with out it

  • carl

I love SBSettings it should be standard on the iphone, saves me a lot of time

  • johnny

I’ve never had a good reason to jailbreak my phone until now. SBSettings is the shiz…

  • Jason masters

Lol Jeff where are you from ? I’ve never heard anyone say “on” pronounced own ? I couldn’t stop laughing through the vid each time you said on! Please make another vid and throw in a whole bunch of ons please!

  • Jason masters

Man I’ve watched that vid like 5 times already and I can’t stop laughing each time he says “on” lol! You should do a remix of that one where you say on and off lmao Ohh man am I wrong for spotting that?

  • Roderick
