JailbreakMe Jailbreak for All Devices

It’s here folks! The long-awaited jailbreak for iOS 4 is now available and it’s called JailbreakMe. Those of you who’ve been jailbreaking their iPhones for a while will certainly remember JailbreakMe, which is without a doubt the easiest jailbreak ever.

Simply go to JailbreakMe.com from your iPhone and follow the instructions. Really you can’t go wrong with that.

Comex has done a great job by reviving JailbreakMe and bringing back the browser-based jailbreak to the iPhone.

JailbreakMe will work for every iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad starting at iOS 3.1.2. That means that if your iDevice is at 3.1.2 or newer, then you’re good.

I’m in the desert right now and can’t get JailbreakMe to download so I will report more about it as I get closer to civilization…

      I am quite sure there will never be a jailbreak like jailbreakme again do you really think if you email Comex that will expedite a untethered JB? Comex was going to try to release a new JB by Christmas but didn’t make it. In the meanwhile you can use Redsn0w but for newer devices it will be tethered.

    Please help when I try to download iTunes on my windows xp computer it will say….

    This intallation package cannot be installed by the windows installer service. You must install a window service pack that contains a newer version of the windows installer service.

    That’s what it will say can someone please help and i was going to jailbreak it to day but I can’t because I need itunes 10

      Go to Microsoft and install the service pack you need it’s free. I had to do that on my PC with XP but it was a long time ago when I did it.

      What is the name of the service pack you need? Also try cnet.com to find it. But anyways give me the name and I’ll search around as well.

    Requires that your computer is running SP3 (service pack3)….

      This jailbreak does not work on 4.2.1 firmware and if your iPhone wasn’t jailbroken prior to you updating to 4.2.1 you can’t downgrade

    What is the firmware version your iPod is running on? If it is higher then 4.0.1 then jailbreakme will not work for you. Go to

      You can’t downgrade Firmware unless you were already jailbroken with SHSH files saved

    I am still wondering if comex will jailbreak 4.2.1. I jailbroke with jailbreakme and my springboard crashed so I restored it but iTunes updated me to 4.2.1. I NEED the 4.2.1 jailbreak. I heard that there won’t be a 4.2.1 jailbreak, that they are waiting for 4.3. The problem is, I have a touch 2, and those won’t be getting 4.3.

    Jailbreakme.com only used to support 4.0.1. If you go there right now, you will see a picture of people skiing and a sign that says PDF. This is a joke comex made for the new version of jailbreak me. This new version supports 4.3.3 and lower. Thanks for listening.

      What an idiot!! You come here and demand a jailbreak? If you had any skill what so ever you could figure out there is a jailbreak for iPhone 4 on 4.3.3 the only thing not jailbreakable is iPad 2, you don’t deserve to be in the jailbreak community.

      Jailbreakme is being updated but you should update your iPod in iTunes. There are other jailbreak solutions.

    thank you for the jailbreak tool it is much eazyer then redsn0w or limera1n. for any one who would like to jailbreak but don’t thinks it is good to do for device I have been jailbroken for about a year and a half. And it did not slow it down not even for one min. thanks for all that you do Comex. ps have a good day and take it eazy play some MW3 or something. N.
