iOS 4 Features

iOS 4 was released yesterday and comes with over 100 new features. If you haven’t updated your iPhone yet, you may want to consider it so you can take advantage of all these new features.

I started writing a guide of all these new features, shortcuts and settings but I quickly realized that many other blogs before me had already created such comprehensive guides. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, I figured it’d be easier to direct you to these guides.

So I found two good guides that I want to recommend you to check out:

These 2 websites will show you the most exciting features of iOS 4.

    i need a 3gs jailbreak :S

@Said….I was on twitter last night and it looks like the guy that made Sn0wBreeze is working on a jailbreak for the 3GS so I think he will release it by the end of the week.

ohh ok finaly..Alex can i update today and..jailbreak/unlock when it come out?
So i update today and explore some …untill the end of the week..is it possible?

  • Alex

Yeah you can update now and then jailbreak it when Sn0wBreeze gets released. The only thing is that you may want to hold off on adding pictures / music and inputting your contacts because the way Sn0wBreeze normally works (I think the new one will be like the old ones) is that you use it to create a custom firmware with Cyida, unlock, etc…etc…..and once you create it, you connect your iPhone to your computer…open iTunes and hold down the shift button while click on the restore button…and then you find the custom firmware….SO with that said, you’ll be wasting your time adding all that stuff on there because by the end of the week….you’ll have to do it all over again.

I updated my iPhone 3GS yesterday just so I can see what all the hype was about and I’m not too heart broken about it….Yeah, I don’t have my jailbreak and unlock no more but is still cool to be able to use it…..you’ll find it that is a lot faster and the new muliti-tasking is a lot faster than backgrounder and proswitcher.

yes thanks man thats exactly what i wanted to do..kill some time untill the Sn0wBreeze will be released …well looks like…im going for a backup right NOW :D:D:D

  • Alex

I decided not to and just take screenshots of my contacts because I heard through several different forums and on here even that the backup takes forever….sometimes even two hours!

Wow. After reading these two articles….I’m not even the least bit excited to upgrade my 3GS or even get my iPhone 4!! Seriously?? This is the best they can do???
    Am I missing something here???
    A j/b 3GS rocks over what I just read.
    Anyone??

  • Alex

Well iOS 4 on is own kind of doesn’t compare to a jailbroken/unlocked 3GS but I think all the hype is because once iOS 4 is jailbroken/unlocked for the 3GS…is going to be out of this world! I thought the same thing but after trying out the iOS 4 last night, I’m in love with how smooth everything works including the multi-tasking that Apple created.

@Alex – I see. Hmm…. thinking since I totally love my 3GS setup at the moment, I’ll just hang tight with it as is until either a 3gs (os4) j/b is out, OR my iphone 4 comes. I just love it too much to mess with it, especially after reading so many not-so-positive comments. 🙁
Bummer too, I was way excited to try it.
    What’s another month…. LOL (yes, I ordered my 4 late…)

I recently bouth an Iphone 4 and I connected it to my computer. It did the sync but it did not transfer ALL the music to my iphone even though those songs that couldn’t be transfered still can be played on iTunes. Any idea about what’s going on?.
