Proximitus will notify you when you leave a Bluetooth device behind

If you’re like me, then you’ve got a lot of Bluetooth devices connected to your iPhone at any given time including some of the most pertinent, like the Apple Watch and AirPods. But if you aren’t thinking straight, it can be easy to leave your Apple Watch on the nightstand charger or to leave your AirPods on your desk when leaving your house with your iPhone.

iOS developer LaughingQuoll knows the struggle, and that’s why he’s working on the release of a brand-new jailbreak tweak called Proximitus.

Augment your iPhone’s AirPods animation with AnimPods

Apple’s iPhones and iPads display an exclusive animation when pairing a set of AirPods with the device, but after the pairing process is complete, day-to-day usage gets somewhat less exciting due to the lack of captivating animations.

Here to change that is a new jailbreak tweak release called AnimPods by iOS developer Lefteris Karkaletsis, which as the name implies, brings a sleeker and more mesmerizing animation to AirPods users during day-to-day usage.

Jailbreakers with a Nomad Horween leather AirPods case should install this tweak ASAP

If you’re in possession of a jailbroken iPhone and you also have a pair of AirPods that are securely encased in one of Nomad’s luxury Horween leather cases, then this is your lucky week!

But is that really the case? Perhaps not…

Citing a post shared on /r/jailbreak by Reddit user TomLube just this week, Apple’s second-generation AirPods will work just fine on pre-iOS 12.2 firmware, albeit with semi-handicapped functionality.

Nomad’s Base Station Apple Watch Edition is the AirPower Apple won’t release

After Apple first teased AirPower all the way back in 2017, many companies came forward with their own version of the now stillborn product.

We’ve all seen our fair share of AirPower-like devices that may or may not launch on Kickstarter, or those already available at a suspiciously low price, but there is no real product out there that can claim to be the “AirPower Apple won’t release”.

The original AirPods vs. AirPods 2 – what’s different?

Apple’s new second-generation AirPods can now be ordered from the company’s website, and many are wondering if they’re a worthwhile upgrade from the originals.

If you’re in the same boat, then you’ve come to the right place, because this piece will discuss the most significant differences between the original and second-generation AirPods.

Second-generation AirPods hint imminent release of macOS Mojave 10.14.4, iOS 12.2, & watchOS 5.2

In case you missed it, Apple released its highly-anticipated second-generation AirPods on Wednesday with some notable under-the-hood improvements including the brand-new H1 chip and a Qi wireless charging-compatible case.

But as you might come to expect from Apple, the release of new hardware often requires newer software with support built-in, and the Cupertino-based company’s second-generation AirPods are no exception to this general rule of thumb.
