Full list of devices that support Apple’s new OS 27

Apple announced new versions of its operating systems at its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8, 2026. The new versions focus heavily on AI features and overall system improvements.

Find out whether your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePod, and Vision Pro are compatible with the latest version of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, HomePod Software version 27, and visionOS 27.

Note that even if your device is compatible, this doesn’t mean it will get all the new features that come with the new software. For instance, the most powerful version of Siri AI is only supported on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro; it even excludes the base iPhone 17, which was released in September last year.

iPhones compatible with iOS 27

All iPhone models that supported iOS 26 will get the new iOS 27 update. This means if you have an iPhone 11 or later, then you’re covered. Here’s the full list:

iPads compatible with iPadOS 27

Unlike iOS 27, iPadOS 27 drops support for five older iPad models, namely iPad mini (5th generation), iPad (8th generation), iPad Air (3rd generation), iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation), and iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation).

Mac models compatible with macOS 27

macOS 27 Golden Gate supports the following Mac desktops, iMac, and MacBook models:

  • MacBook Neo (2026)
  • MacBook Air (all sizes) with Apple silicon chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, or M5)
  • MacBook Pro (all sizes) with Apple silicon chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, and their Max and Pro variants)
  • iMac with Apple silicon chip (M1, M3, or M4)
  • Mac mini with Apple silicon chip (M1, M2, M2 Pro, M4, or M4 Pro) 
  • Mac Studio with Apple silicon chip (M1 Max, M1 Ultra, M2 Max, M2 Ultra, M3 Ultra, or M4 Max)
  • Mac Pro with Apple silicon chip (M2 Ultra chip)

Apple Watch models compatible with watchOS 27

watchOS 27 drops support for Apple Watch SE 2, Series 6, 7, and 8, and the first Apple Watch Ultra.

Here’s a list of models watchOS 27 supports:

  • Apple Watch SE 3
  • Apple Watch Series 9
  • Apple Watch Series 10
  • Apple Watch Series 11
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2
  • Apple Watch Ultra 3

Apple TV models compatible with tvOS 27

After years of supporting older hardware, tvOS 27 finally drops Apple TV HD, released in 2015, and the first-generation Apple TV 4K, released in 2017. So all in all, tvOS 27 supports just the following:

  • Second-generation Apple TV 4K (2021)
  • Third-generation Apple TV 4K (2022)

HomePods that support version 27

All HomePod models, including the first one released 8 years back in 2018, support HomePod Software version 27. For context, the first HomePod has the Apple A8 chip – the same chip that powered iPhone 6 and Apple TV HD (which, by the way, no longer supports tvOS 27).

These HomePods support software version 27:

  • HomePod (the original one)
  • HomePod mini
  • HomePod 2 (released in 2023)

HomePod software version 27 adds support for AutoMix.

Vision Pro models that support visionOS 27

There are just two models of Apple Vision Pro: one with the M2 chip, released in February 2024, and another, a refreshed version with the M5 chip, released in October 2025. Both models support visionOS 27.
