When a new iPhone or popular Android phone launches, we quickly make their official wallpapers available to you (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S26 wallpapers, Xiaomi 17 Ultra wallpapers, Redmi Note 15 Pro wallpapers, and more). Huawei Mate 80 was released three months ago, and we are a little late to this, but these official dark, minimalist, abstract wallpapers are too good to pass up, and hence this post. Download them for your smartphone, and you’ll love them.
Huawei Mate 80 wallpapers
Before we go any further, you should know that the Chinese giant Huawei is blocked from officially selling new phones in the United States because of government restrictions and regulatory approvals. On top of that, US trade sanctions prevent Huawei from using licensed Google services. As a result, new Huawei phones don’t include core Google apps and frameworks such as Google Play Services and the Play Store. This means that banking, payment, Uber, Lyft, and several other apps that depend on Google Play Services will not work properly, which limits the practicality of these phones for US users.
But you are, of course, not restricted from using its phones (if imported legally) and certainly not prohibited from applying its official wallpapers on your current iPhone or Android phone (such a ban would be laughable and impossible to implement).
Coming back to the wallpapers in question, they have a black background with two beautiful semi-orbs in the middle in soft colors that remind me of the official iPhone 14 Pro wallpapers. I sourced these from @aan__x, who regularly posts great wallpapers on their X and Telegram account.
