I spent eight years of my childhood at a boarding school nestled between the hills, where all our playgrounds were actual valleys (i.e., flat open areas between two or more hills).
Some of my fondest memories were made there, surrounded by nature, snowfall, wild flowers, clean skies, and even a waterfall that was just a 45-minute hike away.
The beautiful surroundings from my school days left me with a deep affection for hills, mountains, snow, and valleys, and as a result, I often adorn the Home Screen and Lock Screen of my iPhone with such backgrounds.
Reflecting on my preadolescent days, I thought to curate a collection of stunning wallpapers celebrating the beauty, calmness, and life in these valleys. Based on that, here are some of the backdrops I’ve compiled from X and Unsplash.

Out of all the wallpapers below, the first two options by @tweetbylokki are my favorite. I regularly use his wallpapers on my iPhone, and am always amazed by his choice of colors and color grading in general.
The other artists featured in this incredible collection are @Randi4K, @Halleyapps, and @TeboulDavid1. They regularly post free wallpapers on their X accounts, so be sure to check them out in your spare time.
