The violence of nature’s biggest event tears down entire cities, reshapes landscapes, and destroys populations. Yet somehow, when captured in photography, the scene is incredibly beautiful.
In the collection today, we harness nature’s wrath in this volcano wallpaper pack for multiple devices.
Majestic volcano wallpaper
Across almost 10 years (anniversary coming in July!) into the iDB Wallpapers of the Week, I neglected to feature volcanos as subject matter. A quick search in unsplash.com brought forward 5,700+ incredible images of volcanic activity.
Unsplash is a photograph repository that includes license free images. After being recently purchased, they do offer a subscription for certain images, but on the whole, a majority of content is free. More than 3 million high resolution images are free on the gallery. More than 293,995 photographers contribute and we have several featured today.
There were so many incredible volcano wallpapers that I had a hard time choosing. Consequently, I just started a download frenzy of the top images… really just from page 1 of my search.
Two different categories are below. First, find portrait images that might work best for iPhones; however, they are large enough for iPads or even 4K portrait style monitors.

Below, find the bulk of our volcano wallpaper pack. The following are in landscape orientation. All of the images are large enough for 4K+ desktop monitors and can therefore be placed on smaller iPhone and iPad devices. Simply set as wallpaper on your mobile devices and you can choose which part of the image to crop, on set. Some of these should even work well with the new Depth Effect lock screen.
