iPad App Store gets a small design change before iPad 3 launch

Ahead of theĀ iPad 3 (or iPad HD) announcement tomorrow, AppleBitch is reporting that Apple has rolled out a new App Store update for the iPad. The new update offers a few design and speed enhancements that makes viewing the App Store on the iPad much more pleasing. What perfect timing.

Specifically in the way of UI enhancements, Apple has updated the way top paid and free iPad apps are shown. They are now displayed horizontally instead of vertically…

Today’s update also features the lack of loading when viewing more apps, which makes things much speedier. Instead of viewing 25 more at a time, there is no more loading time and will display 6 more at a time. The iPhone hasn’t been updated with anything similar.

Apple has rolled out its new App Store on the iPad ahead of the iPad 3 event tomorrow in San Francisco, California. Apple is set to take the stage and announce the new tablet, along with a third-generation Apple TV.

We’ll be covering the event in full tomorrow afternoon.
