The rumor-mill cannot agree whether a rumored ‘iPhone 5se’ is going to feature a refined iPhone 5s design or an iPhone 6-style look with smoothly rounded corners and curved screen edges.

Be that as it may, German magazine has taken upon itself to envision what the iPhone 5se might look like should Apple streamline its handset lineup around the current iPhone 6/6s look and feel.

As a bonus, they’ve also done some intriguing renditions of what a next-generation ‘iPhone 7’ and a dual-camera ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ might look like, based on the rumors that have been floating around. Check out the images and tell us what you think in the comments.

The images depict an artist’s rendition of a pink iPhone 5se imagined next to an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the latter two conceptualized upon what we think we know so far about these devices.

As a quick backgrounder, the iPhone 7 should ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of a second speaker and have adjusted antenna bands and a back camera flush with the body.

The iPhone 7 Plus, as per some sources,  should have dual cameras on the back.

For good measure, here is their concept video as well.

I’m not sure that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 5se will resemble these renders—they most likely won’t—but the images give us some food for thought. Additional renderings follow below.

According to the rumor-mill, Apple will hold a media event next month that will serve as a launchpad for a new four-inch iPhone and a third-generation iPad Air. Tentatively dubbed ‘iPhone 5se,’ the phone is expected to utilize a revised iPhone 5s design, but include the latest hardware features such as Apple Pay, Touch ID, better cameras and Apple’s speedy A9 processor, among other features.

Never considered the diagonal look of dual cameras and I actually like it.

    • Danuel Carr

Really? It’s unnatural to me. Just not used to seeing more than one lens on a phone.

    • It does seem legit!

  • n0ahcruz3

Lets reduce antenna lines and slap the plus with another camera and call it a day!.. Very creative said no one ever. im hoping for a design overhaul. Not small design tweak.

You do realize these are renders right…… By somebody with no idea on what the actual 7 is going to look like……… Don’t get your panties in such a bunch when Apple hasn’t even announced the dang thing lol

      • n0ahcruz3

I know they’re renders dude… The guy who did this probably made this render based on rumors of minor design tweaks.

    • The Guy

You do realize there has never been a design overhaul… it has always been small tweaks, lol. You apparently are not an apple user.

      • n0ahcruz3

Been an apple user probably more than u are.. 3g to 4 thats a design overhaul, 5 to 6 that’s also a drastic design. The only similar design 4 and 5 has was the volume rocker. Try again tho lol

      • The Guy

Again, there has been no overhaul, the device maintains its form with home button, volume buttons and power. You have less knowledge about design than I previously assumed. I still have every iPhone ever created, even two of the concept/test versions. Don’t reply.

      • n0ahcruz3

Well u miss the whole point of this article..

      • The Guy

Yes you did, you surely missed the entire point, maybe you should take a course on comprehension Mr. no design expert…

      • n0ahcruz3

hahaha so tell me mister expert whats the difference between this rendering and the 6/6s designwise? All im saying was change the design not remove antenna lines and add additional camera for the 6+ lmfao you’re a funny guy! Based on my upvotes i think many agreed with me

      • The Guy

Why wouldn’t they agree with you… they’re not experts or designers, otherwise they would know better, lmao. And what do you mean by difference? We’re discussing the magnitude of the changes, again comprehension. Can’t continue this until you learn English, please come back in a couple of years and hopefully you will have advanced enough so I can some what entertain this further.

  • Chris Vasta

I’d be extremely disappointed if the 7 was a refresh rather than a complete design change.

    • Vince Reedy

I like the design of the 6 series. I don’t think Apple should go for a different design every new number from now on. Not a ton of difference from 4 to 5S other than size and materials used. If it makes sense for the overall experience, great. I would much rather see upgraded internals and focus on the OS instead. At the end of the day, the OS is what you interact with the most so I think everything they can do to make that the best is the strategy they should use.

      • n0ahcruz3

Might aswell call it “6se” if you like that rendering. I think apple should do a full redesign, minor design change may only result to lukewarm or not so stellar sales. Look at 6s, cook even mentioned that they might experience for the first time in iPhone history a decline in iphone sales for the next quarter. Anyway thats just my 2¢..

  • Jayy

That duel camera concept looks ugly, and the phone actually looks better with the antenna lines!

    • The Guy

I’ve never read or met a single iPhone user that doesn’t hate those unsightly antenna lines… you sir are an anomaly. For the rest of us, we hate ugly stuff like that since we’re into aesthetics and beauty.(i.e. apple products)

      • Jayy

I always have a thin case on my phone so I don’t even see those lines, and beauty is subjective. I’m not saying the lines look nice but in comparison to the concept image the current antenna lines look beautiful!
