halloween deals

With Halloween coming up tomorrow, Apple has discounted a number of horror movies in its iTunes Store down to $9.99. It’s also added Saw: The Complete Collection to its Movie Bundles section, which includes all 7 movies from the popular franchise for just $29.99.

Given that each Saw movie typically sells for $12.99, this deal is a savings of more than $60. But if you’re not a fan of the Jigsaw killer, there are plenty of other notable movies on sale, including genre classics such as Poltergeist, The Shining, and The Blair Witch Project.

And for those of you who either don’t like horror movies (or maybe have young ones in the house), but still want to get into the Halloween spirit, iTunes has quite the selection of “Family-Friendly Frights” on discount as well. Here are some of our favorite not-so-scary deals:

Apple doesn’t say how long these movie deals will last, but similar promotions on the front page of the iTunes Movie Store typically last through Monday. Want additional savings? PayPal is still offering various iTunes gift cards at a 20% discount, which they send via email.

  • I guess Apple doesn’t want my money (it’s a shame really, I’d literally spoonfeed it to them for an offer this cheap)…

so cheap? yeah right @amazon for $18 on blu-ray

      • Rowan09

Can’t really compare Amazon in this case.

      • Chris Chaffin

Why? A lot of blurays come with digital copy and if not I rip blurays in 1080p all the time for ipad. It’s not hard at all. So cheaper and you’ll have a physical and digital copy

      • Rowan09

Amazon always undercuts people’s prices and some times it’s not Amazon selling those blurays. It’s the same reason you can’t walk into a store and say match Amazon’s price.

      • Chris Chaffin

Yes I understand it’s the convenience you are paying for but I don’t understand why it’s A great deal when it’s not I guess my problem has more to do with paying more for just digital just doesn’t make sense to me

      • True. Digital downloads are always more expensive than physical items though even though logically speaking they shouldn’t be…

I got the SAW complete collection on BluRay for 20 bucks at Best Buy. Apple used to have it for 25 bucks just a few days ago. I wonder why they raised the price?
