iPhone 6 ladscape home screen sideway

With not much surprises left to anyone who follows Apple closely, the company unveiled two new devices today: the iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. Along with our coverage of the event, we collected a fairly large amount of photos of both devices. All these photos are publicly available on Apple.com of course, but we thought we’d bundle them all here in one convenient location. Without further ado, here is the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus photo gallery.

Any wallpapers yet for download? 🙂

    • Nope 🙁

      • jolehp

I think the colors are to strong and sharp..

      • iphone_5s user

        I believe it’s the right one…

      • iphone_5s user

      • NeftyCorrea

Hey where did you find that wallpaper

      • Mukund Bhatla

        Thanks 😀

    • Mukund Bhatla

      Some I just found

  • CS

Best part is the unibody back. Looks so much better than the stupid glass panels.

    • DWayne Robinson

It resembles the iPod touch too much for me

      • therealjjohnson

You don’t like the design because it resembles something else or you just don’t like it in general?

      • DWayne Robinson

If i wanted a device that closely resembles an iPod touch i would have just got that instead…don’t get wrong Apple really attempted to push the envelope with this design with the iPhone also but it still lacks originality. The iPhone should be so different that it would be having you say WTF

      • therealjjohnson

I see. So the phone itself looks cool, but because it resembles the iPod you don’t like it. I feel you but remember, the iPod touch was made to look like the iPhone and not the other way around. First iPod touch came out after the iPhone. And each iteration after that it took on more “phonish” qualities. Well, that’s how I always saw it.

      • DWayne Robinson

yeah i do remember iPhone 1st had the silver back with the antenna at the bottom and closely followed the iPod touch with the same aluminum style design..i just apple to push the envelope on design since apple originated the smart phone market it should continue to reinvent the iPhone and also other components associated with it in order to be the ones people want to copy from..

      • Kurt

iPod Touch 1Gen had a chrome back and different front bezel. With an antennae at the top.

      • Trevor Phillips

        Such terrible logic.

      • Guest

haha, you probably think the iPhone 6 is the best smart phone

      • CryptoCoin420

Then what? Have no native cellular capabilities? Sounds like a great plan….I for one like the design, and I am getting the 4.7 the day it is released. Can’t wait to jailbreak it!

      • DWayne Robinson

I will also have the 4.7 64gb model but i will preorder it on friday which is when the preordering can begin.

      • XZavier

I think the new design is great! The thing about the iPod Touch tho is that they haven’t released a new model in about 3 years… So a lot of people might just like having a iPod Touch design that has, a 5.5 inch screen, apple pay, a great camera, and also that can you know actually use cellular data…

      • DWayne Robinson

this is not about the new features that the iPhone 6 will have not at all this is mainly the design aspects of it. I think apple does a great job with design but i’m kinda partial to my iPhone 5s design appears more durable and sturdy than the iPhone 6

      • XZavier

Appearances can be deceiving, especially when you are talking about durability and steadiness, now preferring the old iPhone 5s look I can understand that.

      • Jhonatan Kendall Del Rosario

they just could have a better desing if they want, sure taht they didnt try hard people gonna love any shit we do they thinked

  • Indian Food

Not really sure why there’s so much hate. It’s a beautiful phone. I’m sure everyone will like it once they see it in person.

    • GuyWithTheThings

I think people just hate on what they haven’t seen yet…. I remember when the Powerbooks came out everyone hated them. Then they became the norm and it was just a part of everyday life.

      • jack

they keep showing it to you until you like it

    • hkgsulphate

      the antenna breaks……

  • John

Guys I have one questions hope some of you can help me..
Does the “contract-free” T-Mobile option in the preorder page of the iPhone mean that the iPhone is completely unlocked and that I’ll be able to use any other SIM card with it or no? Thanks!

    • DopamineAddicted

Yes, it is completely unlocked and will work on other gsm carrier such as at&t

      • John

Are you sure though? I just called Apple and this girl was laughing at me at the end.. She said that the phone will be locked to T-Mobile and that’s it. That if I go to canada I won’t be able to insert a different SIM card, neither use a AT&T SIM card.. I’m sorry I’m just super confused, if you can help me that would be awesome, thanks!

      • Mr.Coolfreak

Don’t get the tmobile one, get the unlocked one or the verizon one, which has always been unlocked( beginning with the 5)

      • Rowan09

It’s only unlocked for international usage on GSM.

      • John

There’s no other option besides the “Carrier Free” T-Mobile one

      • DopamineAddicted

think of it like this friend, would you pay $649 plus tax for a locked iPhone when the one on contract cost $199?
those apple reps are not always that bright but trust me its unlocked

      • Rowan09

It is unlocked and that’s the only option available. Once you pay off for a t-mobile phone they unlocked it for you and since you’re paying for it straight up its unlocked. I bought the t-mobile 5s and was told the same thing, but it is factory unlocked.

      • John

Thank you for the help.. So, I can go ahead and pre order the iPhone 6 and not worrying about it being locked? I often travel to Spain and Germany.. I have my nano SIM cards with the companies I use already, also, I’ve been a T-Mobile customer for about 1 year and a half so I don’t think activating the phone will be a problem as I can use my actual nano SIM to activate it, right?

      • Rowan09

Yep. I have t-mobile and will just swap the sim as well. They will give you a new SIM card with the phone by default anyways if you want to use it

      • John

Perfect! Thanks. And as for the locked phone problem.. Will it be locked in the US and internationally unlocked? Or what’s really the thing. I’m sorry I’m confused..

      • Rowan09

The locked phone will only work for t-mobile in the US. Verizon is the only company to my knowledge that has locked phones as unlocked international phones.

      • John

So the contract free T-Mobile phone is locked to T-Mobile and I can’t use it on ANY other carrier doesn’t matter if it is here in the US or internationally. Am I correct?

      • Rowan09

No the contract free version sold by Apple at full price is unlocked for any GSM carrier worldwide. The version sold by t-mobile with the monthly payments until it’s paid off is locked to t-mobile until you pay it off.

      • John

Oh no, I’ll be buying the iPhone full price, carrier free option at the pre order of the iPhone 6. I won’t be buying the phone on monthly payments

      • Rowan09

That is the unlocked version which I’m getting as well.

      • XZavier

Wish I had that much money 🙁 Sadly I am locked in a contract with Verizon for 2 years for my 5s… Ugh…

      • Rowan09

I no longer do contracts. I sell my old phones to offset the price. I can sell my 5s for about $450-$500 and pay for the Plus out of pocket.

      • XZavier

hmm how do you get that much for your 5s?

      • Rowan09

eBay or Craigslist. I keep it in mint condition.

      • XZavier

T-Mobile buys people out of their contracts, is it possible to have them buy me out of it, sell my iPhone since its unlocked by default because its Verizon? And then pay for a new iPhone 6 Plus from T-Mobile?

      • Rowan09

        I believe it is.

      • M_thoroughbred

they are unlocked period international and domestic i know cause my neighbor has Verizon under contract and i placed my AT&T sim and the phone was working. the only thing is that i wasn’t able to use LTE i was stuck on 4g cause of the difference in the LTE chip set

      • Rowan09

Don’t know how it worked but the Verizon iPhones with LTE are unlocked only for international usage. Verizon and Sprint is on a different LTE band so that’s why LTE wouldn’t worked compared to AT&T and T-mobile.

      • Kingmoe738

You should be good, I did the same thing you are asking about right now last year. I asked apple reps and same thing they did not know what they were talking about.
But this is how it is, if you buy the phone full price, you will get it factory unlocked.

        Go for it.

  • DopamineAddicted

Best looking phone n the market

    • jack

are you blind? iphone 5S looks way better for most.. the diamond chamfered edges, the back with aluminum and glass… it just looks much better than this

      • XZavier

Guys calm down… Everyone has there own view on what looks good or not, so personally I think everyone should just shut up : You can all have a opinion on what looks good or not, not everyone is gonna have the same view on something, that’s just impossible…

      • Rowan09

I agree. It’s also hard to truly judge from a screen as well

      • jack

Lol some ppl just cant handle conflicts… “Please everyone just shutup!!”

      • XZavier

X_x, I can handle conflicts, I just find it ridiculous when their about something that people just won’t have the same opinion on and that your not gonna change their mind about because it’s what they see through their eyes. Maybe in religion you could change someone’s mind, but it’s just a waste of time when it’s about the look of a phone…

    • Jhonatan Kendall Del Rosario

note 3 look so much elegant tho… still the iphone 5s back look better, maybe if the take ou those ugly lines and left the back plain its look some diferent and elegant but its gonna look like a new 3gs or a ipod touch tho

  • Shawn

I was wanting a 5.5 inch phone but after using an HTC M8 it is much too big just being 5 inches. I can’t imagine anything bigger being comfortable. And I have large hands.

    • Rowan09

I think it’s about the size of the Note 2 so it should be that big.

      • Shawn

Its really good to use when you are using it but once you need to do something one handed it just becomes a pain. Ill have to think it over before preorder time.

      • Rowan09

I know I have a Note 2 as well, but the slide down feature should help. I wanted the 4.7 but the 5.5 is better and I just want the better phone.

      • Vitaliy Anonymous

I agree. I have a Nokia Lumia 1520 (6 in.) and while the phone is great, using it with one hand is a pain…even worse, when holding it over your head while laying in bed. Let’s say that falling asleep while holding it is not the best thing to do.

  • Eric Ortiz

Question, I’ve never activated an iphone from home before, always went to the store. I have an iphone 5 now and will be pre ordering friday on verizon. Do I put the sim card from my 5 in the new phone or not? Do I just connect to itunes and it activates it for me?

    • Shawn

It will come installed with a Sim Card and you call your carrier and they activate it

    • Rowan09

You can do everything from the phone itself after putting in your old sim.

  • Carlos Neira

I don’t know, I will waiting until the “iPhone 6s”, I think that will be much better and with a full improvement in a phone.
    Actually I have the iPhone5s

  • Bugs Bunnay

wasn’t thinking about buying this phone, but then I saw how the edge of the glass curves into the edge of the phone. mind exploded. pulling the trigger with express checkout when sale starts

  • gittlopctbi

Overall, the new iPhones are a big whoop. I call them their “catch up” or
maybe to stick with the fruit corporate theme, “ketchup” phones as
all they are is catching up to what other phones have had for years. Nothing
revolutionary here, folks, move along, nothing to see. I guess Jobs is dead
    after all.

For all the hardcore Fanboys who loves to diss Samsung, I really do not think you have a leg to stand on with this release. There is nothing really new about these phones.

That said, I’ll still sell my 5 and get a 6+ because I’ve wanted a bigger screen for a long time. But it’s still disappointing.

    • XZavier

I agree, their isn’t much you can diss Samsung on about the outside shell and look of the phone. BUT, the biggest thing that is different is the operating system. Yea that’s not the focus in what you say and their isn’t anything new we learned today except the release date of iOS 8, but I believe a lot of people fanboy or fangirl over a iPhone because of the operating system as well as how it looks, sure other companies have had the same thing for years. Even if apple had it first or some other company had it first, Apple makes things look/seem more advanced, worth the money, they know how to sell their products. Also the operating system makes a big difference! Sure an samsung phone may be cool, or maybe the amazing new Amazon Fire phone, but I don’t like their operating systems, thats what is more important to me. This is just my view.

    • Lance Baker

What exactly were you hoping for? I’m perfectly happy with larger screen, better cameras and much faster processor. Plus iOS 8 is the real change here.

      • gittlopctbi

I was hoping for everything that is in the iPhone 6+. Plus a bigger battery. I don’t care how thin a phone is, they are already thin enough. My point is nothing is new about these phones and nothing is innovative. All existing tech. I’m glad that Apple finally came out with a phone with these specs. It just should have happened sooner. And this is being called a “historic” event over these ketchup phones. I disagree. I’ll still get one, but with a “it’s about time” attitude instead of a “wow, this is cool” attitude.

  • James Gunaca

One thing about that rounded design….the phone can’t stand on its own *at all* not on the sides not on the bottom, nothing. Now it will require a mount if I ever want to set it somewhere to record video, time-lapses, take timed photos, etc. Other than that, solid!

  • Guest

    had me like..

  • AJM

Apart from the antenna breaks and camera lens the iPhone6 could look quite nice in black IF it’s body had the (iPhone 5 like) dark colour as in the CGI pictures above. But going by the real photos it will be space gray as the iPhone 5s, which limits the appeal.

The “Watch” on the other hand ….. *facepalm* …… bulky like the first prototype of a digital watch from 40 years ago.

  • max

  • Saad Gouzou

Is there a link to download all of this pictures, all at once ?

  • Dan

I find it funny that Apple made the 5.5 inches version better. People have to either settle for a smaller phone with inferior specs or give in and buy the ‘phablet’. I’m guessing that most people who badmouthed phablets in the past will be quiet about the issue now. Imo it was a bad idea not to have same specs for both phone.

  • Reinier Chavez

Any one know when are they going to be available for display on apple store

  • jolehp

Here is the stock iOS 8 wallpaper 🙂 Enjoy

  • GadgetQueenn

    iPhone 6+ for me!

  • How do you extract the stock backgrounds?
