If you’re in the market for a keyboard accessory to help you type more efficiently on your iPad, you might want to check out the Touchfire. It’s a silicon insert that fits over your iPad’s display, offering tactile feedback as you type.

And right now, the folks over at Stack Social are running a promotion on the Touchfire KeyBoard, enabling you to pick one up at a nice discount. For a limited time, the deal site is knocking 30% off the accessory’s retail price tag…

Here’s a video showing the Touchfire in action:

And here’s some of the keyboard’s notable features:

  • Works With All 9.7 iPads – Attaches to the iPad 2/3/4 using the magnets built into those tablets. It’s non-slip bottom keeps it in place on an iPad 1.
  • Type with out Looking – Textured keys allow you to type without looking so you can focus on your writing and not on the keys. Freely rest your fingers on the keys for a realistic typing experience with out accidentally entering characters.
  • Rugged & Easy to Clean – The Touchfire keyboard is made of pure, high-performance silicone rubber. It handles the rigors of travel with ease. To clean it, simply run it under tap water and towel dry.

If you’re interested, click here to get the Touchfire at the special price of $34.99 (normally $50). That includes free shipping, a lifetime warranty, and a 30-day refund policy. Unfortunately, it looks like the deal is for US customers only.

A keyboard that doesn’t come with a keyboard. I thought I had seen it all.

$34.99 discounted from a $50 for a piece of silicon?

Why unnecessarily take up screen estate? It still isn’t going to give you the tactile feel of a real keyboard.

Just buy a computer/notebook/laptop or macbook if you want a keyboard. You will have a much better experience.

50 dollars for a slice of silicon – I thought only companies like Apple had the balls ( and the fans) to do something crazy as this.
No wonder they are discounting it.
