If you’re in the market for a new smartphone, consumer electronics retailer Best Buy has just sweetened the deal by throwing in a $50 gift card. The company advertised the promotion on Super Bowl so it’s kinda a big deal. First, you must sign up by Saturday, February 9 in order to reserve your $50 gift card. OF course, you won’t get it unless you purchase a smartphone with a new two-year Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint contract between February 10 and December 31, 2013…

The handsets on offer include Apple’s iPhone, Samsung’s Galaxy S III ($99 on a new contract, a $100 saving) and other popular high-end devices.

If you don’t activate a new device, the offer will go away come end of 2013.

You can use your gift card toward any mobile phone purchase or any other future purchases in store or online with no expiration date.

You can reserve your gift card, but hurry up because Best Buy is closing reservations this coming Saturday, February 9.

Registering entails giving them your e-mail address as well as your existing, active mobile phone or landline phone number.
