Summer’s almost here, meaning you might want to start preparing your iPhone for the water. Pool parties, river-floating and water parks are all possibilities during the popular season.

This means that if you don’t have a waterproof case, you might want to get one. And if you aren’t sure what to look for, you might want to start with the new Scuba Suit from Photojojo…

Unlike some of the other water-friendly iPhone cases on the market, the Scuba Suit is 100% water proof up to 15 feet. It also features an airtight headphone jack, an optical grade camera lens, and a gel screen cover, meaning you can do pretty much whatever you want with your iPhone underwater.

But don’t plan on making this case your daily driver. It’s roughly half an inch thick, awkwardly-shaped, and doesn’t have an opening for the iPhone’s dock connector — meaning you’d have to remove it from the case to charge it.

That being said, this looks like a solid case for folks looking to take photos or listen to music in the pool or ocean. And its $60 price tag is fairly average for such an accessory.

If you’re interested in the iPhone Scuba Suit, it’s available for both the iPhone 4 and 4S in PhotoJojo’s online store.

What do you think of the Scuba Suit? What waterproof case are you using?

    Or you know… LifeProof.

  • JaeM1llz

I’ve been using the AquaBox for a year, works great and only cost me $30 on eBay.

    • I am looking for a good waterproof case….is AquaBox or LifeProof better??

      • JaeM1llz

AquaBox is only to make it waterproof, LifeProof is to protect it from drops, etc. so they aren’t really comparable. LifeProof is better but it’s more than twice as much as AquaBox which does exactly what I need it to.

  • 60$? Lol they sell waterproof cameras disposable for 20$ and you don’t even have to worry about destroying your precious phone!

  • Orrrrrr you could just NOT bring your iPhone to the pool…

    • JaeM1llz

This is obviously geared towards people who WANT to bring their iPhone in the water…. I am a photographer and I use my 4S to take pictures at the lake all the time. Waterproof case keeps it safe.

  • I use LifeProof

  • Not too bad. Not sure if I’m liking that headphone jack piece there. I think I’ll stick with my LifeProof.

I want this. I have been looking for a case just to bring my phone in the water and take pictures. Most other water proof cases don’t take clear pictures.

And I live by the shore, go to the beach a lot, have a pool, and a boat so I will use it enough to make it worth it. Just sucks it won’t fit the next iPhone.

  • How would you go Scuba Diving if it’s only Waterproof for up to 15 ft?

all this for a photo!!! there are cameras for this things you know…
