Fans of the popular Celeste Bluetooth file-sharing app will be happy to hear that the folks over at CocoaNuts have just released a number of updates for their Cydia packages — Celeste included.

As noted by RedmondPie, CocoaNuts announced via its Twitter account this morning that it has released “beta” updates for Celeste, YourTube, and Mark Read, making them all compatible with iOS 5…

Most of you are probably familiar with Celeste. We raved about the file-sharing utility when it first surfaced in Cydia last spring. But after more than 6 months passed without any major updates, and no iOS 5 support, we nearly wrote the app off.

YourTube is another one of CocoaNuts’ more popular packages. The app presents itself as the “YouTube.app as it was meant to be,” and allows you to download (and playback) your favorite videos from the popular service.

It appears that these two apps, along with Mark Read, are now available on CocoaNuts’ repo (http://apt.cocoanuts.co/). To access the betas, you must own previous versions of the apps. We’ll let you know when they become publicly available.

  • wow. great news. i’m planning on buying airblue sharing today. but i’ll wait for this then. and hear your reviews!

    • You don’t want Celeste these developers are assholes get AirBlue

      • What do you base that statement on?

      • glad these devs update it Celeste.

To people saying these devs are assholes: i bet 99% of you dont own the app. Go cry somewhere else.

Technically, yes. These apps have been in beta for a while. What CocoaNuts announced yesterday were updates to the betas. But since we didn’t cover the original betas on iDB, we figured why make things more complicated than they needed to be. But thanks!

You mean to say “We’ll let you know WHEN they become publicly available.”

    • Lol. Yeah i wanna know why they will become publicly available!

  • Repo’s not working for me. The .co or .com.

    • Anonymous

Yeah not working for me either.

      • We’ve just finished moving hosts. We’ve got some big announcements coming soon, stay tuned.

Cydia finds the .com, but I get an error saying the signatures are invalid.

  • Forget about Celeste, Airblue is much more features rich. Waited too long for their iOS5 compliance upgrade.

  • I can’t wait till yourtube is available. i hope the dev for safari dl manager will update soon, i dont like safari dl plugin as much safari dl manager for a number of reasons.

  • Bruno Grilo

actually the address is: http://apt.cocoanuts.co not .com

Anybody download YourTube? Does it still suck and not work?

    • delete all files in var/mobile/Media/YourTube, then install yourtube3 once again!

  • Since the last beta update, Celeste’s file transfer speed has been doubled.
