JailbreakMe is Down

If you have tried to use JailbreakMe to jailbreak your iPhone in the last couple of hours, you probably were unsuccessful as the site appears to have technical difficulties. JailbreakMe.com actually loads ok but when you “slide to jailbreak”, nothing seems to happen.

I have noticed weird little things going on on my iPhone 4 after trying to unsuccessfully use JailbreakMe. For example, my iPhone 4 doesn’t save pictures anymore. While I can snap pictures, they are not being saved to the camera roll. Only a reboot seems to fix this.

There is definitely something going on with the latest version of JailbreakMe Comex uploaded to the servers.

I suggest we call it a day and try again in the morning. What do you say?

    Wifi works but 3G and Edge doesn’t work for me although they show connected on my iphone. Tried restarting it multiple times…. gonna have to restore when I get home. Running iPhone 4 4.0.0 OS.

    If you can’t get http://www.jailbreakme.com to work restart your iPhone 4 and go to http://www.jailbreakme.modmyi.com. I just did it now and it has finished installing 1 minute ago. HOORAY!!!

    Thanks a million for this update!!! I thought there were something else that was not right with my colleague iPhone. Been trying for the last two hours but to no avail.

    Keep up the good work. That’s why your iPhone blog is No. 1 on my list. The one that I always refer to for iPhone updates and tips.

    I didn’t even have to restore from my backed up contacts, photos, music… Nothing!!
    Curia just magically appeared on my home screen! Wow!!! I’m amazed!

    For those who have stuck on purple screen try enabling pop-ups in settings->safari.

    good!! i succeeded to jailbreak my iphone 3gs 4.0.1 (locked to AT&T) and everythings seem to work fine so far. and of course unlocked it using Ultrasn0w :)

      Today! Aug.27,2010, I try using the jailbreakme.com and jailbreakme.modmyi.com, it won’t work anymore, coz all it was showing on the page says Placeholder. Someone please help.

    is web site overloaded? i cant make it though i spent over 8 hours of attempt using that site, Page stall, and no activity, which other ports than http port 80 we need this site to work?

    Works as of 8:30 EST for me. Cydia keeps having some weird problem though, idk what it is. I try and search for themes and it has an error.

    I jailbroke my 3GS new bottom originally updated to 4.0.1 today
    unlocked my iPhone too..
    no issues for me worked like charm!!

    I’m backing up, restoring and updating to 4.0.1 because iTunes won’t let me do anything otherwise. So I’ll try the backup server after restoring. I’ll post the outcome :D

    I’m restoring to original on my iphone 4, I dont want to have messed up mms/facetime/3g/edge problems. I’ll wait for a more stable ver in a month.

    It worked well for me. Worth the wait all this while.
    Really surprises me how simple it was to JB the phone, thought Spirit was easy but this is like….super ultra easy.

    It does not want to work on on an ipad, It worked on my iphone 4 and had to use app sync to get the apps on ok but it worked. on the ipad all it does is just give the pretty cosmic screen after you slide to jailbreak.

    LIKE GO TO SAFARI > GOOGLE IMAGES > TRY SAVING A PICTURE BY HOLDING IT DOWN AND CLICKING SAVE IMAGE > AND THEN DOESNT APPEAR TO BE IN CAMERA ROLL

    Everything seems to be working for me. I did have a problem originally getting things to connect. This seems to be resolved by just turning your cookies off before visiting the jailbreakme site though. Cydia seems a little shaky though. Not sure what that’s all about.

    Guys, there’s a massive bug on both my wife’s 3G(S) old bootroom, and on my 3(G)S new bootroom after updating, even before the jailbreak.
    When I receive an SMS and go in the msgs, I can’t get back to see all msgs, it get stuck in that msg, and when I try to go back it quits the msgs. I go back to the msgs and still stuck on the same msg, when I recieve a new msg I can’t read it because it’s still stuck on the old one.
    Anybody with this issue?
    Tried my friend “google” but couldn’t find any related links!

    it worked for me earlier that day actually twice i screwed something up the first time then rejailbroke it but later about 2 hours or so i tried my friends and it kept rebooting his device i think the site is up now tho

    I broke my phone once and then had to restore it now every time i try to break it it goes to the sit tight and then goes away, and I’ve already been to the modmyi site no luck any thoughts ? thank you
