MacBook Pro with Touch Bar event wallpapers

Today, Apple announced the new MacBook Pro with a new touch sensitive function bar that dynamically changes based on active applications. Naturally, there were some shiny images shown on the screens, during the keynote this morning. Quickly, I began getting requests for modifications and mock ups of these images via Twitter.

Today, Apple announced the upcoming media event on October 27. With the announcement, in traditional fashion, comes a simple graphic representation of the event. As always, armchair pundits and tea leaf readers try to discern the hidden messages believed to be concealed in the graphic.

The Wallpapers of the Week section is an ongoing list of curated images for iOS devices. Each collection is sourced from around the Internet, submitted by a reader, or linked to a topical pop culture reference. Today's section includes a reader submitted image as well as other great captures from around the net.

Every Sunday the Wallpapers of the Week section, attempts to bring you incredible images from across the Internet. The images are formatted for the latest iOS devices, sometimes just iPhone or iPad, sometimes both. It is our intent to keep you with fresh images on a weekly basis, as the section name indicates.

Naturally, wallpaper quality, theme, and artistic value is subjective. Our images cannot impress everyone, every time. If you aren't impressed with the week's postings, you can be sure another set will be available the following week. Typically, the Wallpapers of the Week section adds beautiful, photo quality images to our catalogue. From galaxy to geometric CGI, our wallpapers focus on the world around us. However, in a twist, today's wallpapers help us look through our iPhone screens into a world of circuitry.

iFixit is well known for breaking down the latest devices to determine repairability, provide walkthroughs on the internals, and create repair kits for those looking to complete their own work. As jailbreakers and modders at iDB, we are big fans of their work. Today's wallpapers are full resolution images of iPhone internal components. Making your own device a window into itself.

Wallpapers of the Week: bokeh

With iPhone 7 Plus, now in the wild, we are all anxiously waiting for the upcoming software update that will enable "Portrait" mode in iOS 10. Bolstering the new portrait mode, iPhone 7 Plus users will be able to take advantage of the dual lens system and the upgraded telephoto camera. Unfortunately, we will need to wait until sometime this fall to take bokeh images of our own.

In the meantime, step inside for a wallpaper pack of bokeh images. These will look stunning on the new iPhone 7 wide color gamut display and show off the advantage of bokeh style photos.

This special edition of the Wallpapers of the Week is coming a little earlier than usual to celebrate the release of iOS 10, but also because there has been an incredible demand for this one specific wallpaper.

Thanks to some very quick work from @AR72014, we present to you a re-creation of the wallpaper found on Apple's iPhone 7 website.

This coming Friday, iPhone 7 hits store shelves and pre-orders arrive in the mail. The week between a pre-order and receiving the device is one of the most exciting times of the year for Apple fans. Immediately following the announcement, Apple litters the retail website with information about the new devices, including images that help show off the new design. When this occurs, I receive submissions for wallpapers via @jim_gresham, where you can send images for consideration and inclusion in the Wallpapers of the Week category.

This year, as the design focuses on the camera, Apple included a gallery of images, snapped by the new iPhone 7. Inside, you fill find a collection of wallpapers from the iPhone 7 photo gallery. Additionally, there is an interactive scrolling ad, that includes images of an amorphous colored orb, which has been turned into a series of wallpapers as well. Step inside for iPhone 7 wallpapers.

Last week, Apple sent media invitations for the upcoming September 7th event, assumedly announcing the iPhone 7. The newest flagship device is expected to hold the same form factor as the previous two iPhone generations, with marked improvement to the cameras, waterproof capabilities, and the audio experience. But, you will need to decide for yourself if losing the 3.5mm headphone jack is truly an 'improvement.'

Apple just announced the iPhone 7 media event, to be held on September 7. Their invitation has sparked many comments and additional rumors about the content of the media event. "See you on the 7th" could hint at many different announcements, but perhaps the strongest is optical or camera upgrades.
