Our Wallpapers of the Week collection is a selection of reader submitted wallpapers, posted every Sunday. We receive a wide arrange of submissions, from original digital artwork to fan art and everything in between. This week is a hodgepodge assortment of Darth Vader, R2D2, Yoda, and Obi Wan Star Wars wallpapers.
Apple unveiled planet-like wallpapers with their iPhone XS and iPhone XR. Since, they have become a popular wallpaper style in the community. The following set is inspired by those original marketing wallpapers and are the careful original creations of iDB fan favorite, AR72014.
Our Wallpapers of the Week category is populated on Sundays with photo quality images for your favorite iOS devices. In contrast to last week's true black OLED friendly wallpapers, the following collection is vibrant and full spectrum color. From reds to blues and orange to purple, these full color wallpapers are going to light up your screen.
Since the introduction of OLED screen technology with the iPhone X, having a true black wallpaper really sets apart the visual appeal of your wallpaper. Of course, these images look incredible on non-OLED displays, but iPhone X and iPhone XS devices have the ability to turn off the part of the screen that contains a true black image. This causes the colorful part of the image to really pop against the black contrast.
There's nothing like a classic Apple logo wallpaper for your favorite device. We've featured loads of Apple logo wallpapers throughout our 5+ year Wallpapers of the Week posts. But, today there is a fancy new twist. Our iDB favorite wallpaper artist AR72014 created a set of aluminum skeuomorphic wallpapers for iPhone.
This week we are taking to the streets! Every Sunday we add more images to our Wallpapers of the Week gallery. The goal is to find photo quality images for iPhone, iPad, and/or desktop and maintain a specific theme each week. Below is a collection of street-themed images of winding forest roads, city streets, and wide open country vistas. Perfect for a Lock screen, these wallpapers range from super busy to serene.
Today's Wallpapers of the Week collection features a set of images with the color blue. All of the images do not necessarily feature blue as the primary focal point, but the color can be found in some fashion throughout the wallpaper. From abstract leaves to pure blue gradients, these wallpapers make great additions to either your Lock or Home screens. Add a refreshing color to your device in the dead of winter.
The Wallpapers of the Week collection is a curated list of photo quality images for your Apple devices. Focusing primarily on iPhone, the section brings a new gallery each Sunday. Often, the images are seasonally specific. Throughout December the focus has prepared us for the colder months. This week, the selection is Christmas specific.
Continuing into the colder months, so too do we continue our Wallpapers of the Week with chilling new winter wallpapers. There is just something beautiful about a snow covered mountain or a snowy frosted forest that makes a great wallpaper. This week there are also versions for iPad Pro and MacBook.
As we enter the Winter months, I can't help but add snow wallpaper to my iPhone. Illustrations are one of the more popular categories on the iDB Wallpapers of the Week gallery. Combining these two, we have a great pack of ten snowy illustrated wallpapers with some great scenes and color variation. From blues to rich purples, bright days and cold snowy nights, there is something here for everyone.
As December begins, we enter the holiday season. Winter wallpapers rank among my favorite, aside from autumn leaves. Today's snowy wallpaper pack contains eleven original creations from iDB's top wallpaper contributor, @AR72014. From holiday bokeh designs to snow covered scenery, there's something for everyone.
A popular category on our Wallpapers of the Week collection, natural outdoor photography wallpaper really pops on Apple's latest screen technologies. We use the gallery to curate the best wallpapers each Sunday and this eight wallpaper collection by Nomad is incredible. Taking shots across the west coast, these mountain and beach scenes will make you long for your next vacation.
