Continuing on with the barrage of iPhone 6 part leaks we’ve seen over the past few weeks, Apple.club.tw today shares a new photo of what is believed to be the front LCD frame of the handset. It looks to be complete with metal shielding, and Home button bracket.

In a complete iPhone, this component would sit in between the front panel and the rear shell, both of which we’ve seen in other leaks.   It also contains the all-important LCD panel, and helps sandwich in the battery, logic board, and various other internal pieces…

Apple.Club claims that the part belongs to the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6. It’s impossible to confirm its legitimacy, but using the hand in the above photo as a reference, it certainly looks larger than the current iPhone. It also appears to match up with previous leaks.

A 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6 is also expected this year, but physical evidence for that model has been far more scarce. This could be explained, though, by reports claiming that mass production on the larger device is expected to begin after the 4.7-inch model.

In addition to larger displays, the iPhone 6 is expected to feature an A8 processor, enhanced camera and other improvements. The consensus is that Apple is planning a media event to unveil the new handsets in mid-September, with a launch following shortly after.

    can’t wait for 5.5

  • Umut Bilgiç

That is HUGE. Haha cant wait!

    • @dongiuj

Not as huge as the word huge you typed.

      That’s what she said

    • rockdude094

I can’t help saying this but..

  • sivkai

With all these parts showing up, it’s only a matter of time till someone assembles a fully functional iPhone 6.

    • RarestName

But you’ll need to activate it first 🙂

  • @dongiuj

I was kind of hoping that wouldn’t happen….again.

    • mlee19841

Please no. I wanted to pick up the 6 for the larger screen. But if it’s taller and not wider it will look crazy.

  • Brandon Miranda

Where’s the leaks of the iPhone 5C’s successor? Maybe the 4.7 iPhone 6 will replace it. If so, short live the 5C. No more plastic lad iPhones. 🙁

    • Jeffrey Feuerstein

Lolol, the iPhone 6c will be released at the same time as the 6s, which will be in 2015, the iPhone c series will only be refreshed once in two years, just like the iPod Touch.

      • Jeremy

It’s also possible the iPhone c serried is just a one time thing. No one knows what Apple has planned for their naming scheme.

      • Jeffrey Feuerstein

That’s true, but if the iPhone c series won’t be coming back, it is because of the bad sales. It sure wasn’t planned to be a one time thing, Apple never does something like that. iPhone s series, iPod series, Apple TV, iPad mini etc. all weren’t a one time thing.

      • Kitten Meow

Or maybe apple will make the iphone 6 come in gold/gray/slate and all the iPhone 5c colours. Who knows?

      • Jeffrey Feuerstein

Ofcourse it is a possibility, but the chances are 0.01%, would you really believe that will happen?

    • Romeo Thái Tử

I wonder there will never have 6c or C series anymore

  • Manuel Molina

I swear, I read this every year “In addition to larger displays, the iPhone x (whatever they decide to call it) is expected to feature an Ax (some higher number) processor, enhanced camera and other improvements. The consensus is that Apple is planning a media event to unveil the new handsets in mid-September, with a launch following shortly after.”

It’s like Apple hasn’t done anything really serious in sometime. Siri still sucks and while the finger print scanner is decent, it still needs work and major uhauling to be utilized in a groundbreaking way.

    • Umut Bilgiç

What can be improved about touch id?

      • Manuel Molina

Use it to lock down apps, to password protection; the camera can use this very well. Utilize it to be better on getting your finger (it’s not bad, but sometimes it doesn’t work for people, and no I’m not holding it the wrong way).

      • Umut Bilgiç

I see.. Maybe not native apps, but any app can now utilize the touch id with ios 8 anyways, so thats great 😀

      • mlee19841

U can use a tweak from cydia to lock down apps using the Touch ID. But that’s a different story.

      • Manuel Molina

I think you’re missing the point of everything that was written.

The point of it all is being that, each year it’s the same stuff and nothing changes. When iOS 8 comes out, there won’t be a jailbreak. So if so, doesn’t that make the iPhone as what I mentioned before? The same thing?

        That’s what I’m getting at.

      • mlee19841

I get what u mean. Try switching to android. Apple will probably continue to use the same template to make the iPhone for years to come. It’s been the same thing give or take some features since 07. But millions of people including my self still purchase it.

      • Kitten Meow

        That’s why you jailbreak iDevices.

      • Manuel Molina

Read my reply to the last guy ^^^

  • adele hanks

    Perfect size.
    That’s what she said.

  • mlee19841

Just checked the pic again it deffinitly is taller. Agh. We’ll just have to wait n see.

  • PhoneTechJay

The picture is not really doing it justice. Since its sideways it actually seems slimmer than it is I’m sure it will be more proportional if it were flat.

  • BloodBornstein

Better then “It’s wider but not taller”, cuh!
