Dev Team Releases PwnageTool Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1

A few hours after updating their famous jailbreak tool RedSn0w to bring an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 to the masses, the Dev Team has now released an updated version of PwnageTool.

PwnageTool is the perfect tool for unlockers, as it will allow you to create a custom IPSW, thus allowing you to update your firmware while still preserving the baseband for unlocking using either Gevey SIM or UltraSn0w…

        Redsn0w works on both Mac and Windows, so I really don’t see any point of updating PwnageTool.

      I just created a custom ipsw to preserve baseband using redsn0w the file is 767mb as opposed to the original file which is 790mb? I’m using windows by the way

    I JB my phone today.
    Having many issues.
    Screen freezing up on Respring, etc.
    I’ve had to put in DFU twice and use redsnow to reboot.

    Anyone else having these issues?

        I got the semitether jailbreak then I uninstall the package then installed the new untether jailbreak packege. so now I have to iPhone 4 working with iOS 5.0.1 untether with no issues. All working fine

    is there any jailbreak for ipad 2 ios 4.3.5? or is better if i upgrade to ios 5.0.1 ?

    this is important for 4s & iPad 2 we are pondering if we should upgrade to 5.0.1 or stay on 5.0 to be safe before apple release new one and that will postpone the untethering jailbreak that is being worked on. We need to hear from them. have them confirm because we want to hear from them.

    my i phone 4 running on 4.3.5 i used pwnagetool custom ipsw and when i go to i tune to restore it say my device isn’t eligible for the requested build what it mean? Please help
