Google Finally Releases a Blogger App for iOS

By , Sep 8, 2011

It’s only fitting that one of the oldest blogging platforms currently in existence just got its own iOS app. Google has announced Blogger for the iPhone and iPad.

Blogger itself recently underwent a huge revamp, and the iOS app takes obvious cues from the platform’s new design. Mainly, you get to look at that ugly orange color…

“You can also open a blog post you’ve been working on from your computer and continue editing it while you’re on-the-go. Your blog posts are automatically synced across devices, so you’ll always have access to the latest version. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and the Blogger app makes it easy to add photos either by choosing from the gallery or taking a new photo right within the app. You can also add labels and location to provide more details about the post.”

Blogger is available as a free download in the App Store for the iPhone and iPad.

Too late. I moved to tumblr a long time ago after realizing Blogger had no mobile theme. Then when it DID get a mobile version, it couldn’t handle white text since the only mobile background was also white.

And of course tumblr didn’t require me to submit every mobile post as an email…

These days, people are either using WordPress or Tumblr.
Blogger is dead, end of story.

one more thing, Why the UI so damn ugly? Looks like the work of someone without any design training.
