Just hours after the Dev Team updated RedSn0w, young iPhone hacker iH8Sn0w updated his own jailbreak tool, Sn0wBreeze, to version 2.6. This new version of Sn0wBreeze uses i0n1c’s untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2.

For those of you that are not aware, Sn0wBreeze is a tool very similar to PwnageTool. Sn0wBreeze, a Windows-only jailbreak, allows you to update to the latest iOS while preserving your baseband, which is necessary if you want to unlock your iPhone.

Sn0wBreeze 2.6 will work for any device that supports iOS 4.3.2, except for the iPad 2…

Sn0wBreeze is a fairly easy jailbreak to use. If you need directions on how to use Sn0wBreeze, please refer to our latest Sn0wBreeze tutorial. The steps are identical.

As usual, you can download Sn0wBreeze from our iPhone downloads section.

If you decide to use Sn0wBreeze to jailbreak your iPhone, please let us know how it went by leaving a comment below.

  • I swear by Sn0wbreeze for my 3GS as it’s the best option for preserving my unlockable baseband. I use iReb together with Sn0wbreeze for an easy and error free upgrade. Upgrading to 4.3.2 went as smooth as normal but my original carrier sim card was not activated or recognized by my 3GS and iTunes. I ran the latest Redsn0w on top of Sn0wbreeze and the iPhone was activated. I have since downgraded to 4.2.1 due to high memory usage and incompatibility issues with a number of jb tweaks.

same problem my sim is not recognised when i m using 4.3.2 jb with snowbreeze how to solve?

      • I just ran the latest Redsn0w on top and my sim was immediately recognised on start up.

Sn0wbreeze is the best jailbreak tool available for Windows users that need unlock. Plus I love that you can never accidentally upgrade the baseband. B4 Sn0wbreeze I had to wait for weeks for someone to make custom firmy with Pwnage tool and post online, then had to download in sections from file sharing site. With Sn0wbreeze, Windows user can now make their own custom firmware.

are the multi gestures still unlocked using snowbreeze? or would i have to download the cydia tweek again to enable it?

    • James

iH8sn0w posted on twitter that the multitouch gestures are enabled in this version also.

      • azharhamzahya

cool but I’ll wait for Pwangetool update

      • c0edx

Why would anyone wanna use that on a iPhone. I’m sorry to say but thy is stupid. How the hell are you going to swipe 4 fingers up or down for a gestures. WoW!!! What are we coming to, how lazy are you guys. (Saking my head in disbelief)

I have an iPhone 3GS which is currently on 4.1 (8B117) and Modem Firmware 06.15.00.
I bought the phone second hand and it was already jailbroken and unlocked. No idea what was used to do the jailbreak and unlock.
Am I correct in my understanding that I can upgrade to IOS 4.3.2 using Sn0wbreeze 2.6 while maintaining my unlocked and jailbroken status.
Are there any steps I should take to backup the existing jailbroken firmware and software, so that if the upgrade fails, I can get back to the current status quo.
Whilst I am an IT professional, I have never gone through this process before and don’t want to end up with a dead phone.

where is the greenpoison untethered jailbreak???

    • lowkkss

Greenposion chronic team is currently working on iPad2 jailbreak so i see there is not point reinventing the wheels as redsnow and snowbreeze can provide ios 4.3.2 jailbreak solution.

    Hi guys,
I have a Rogers (canada) iphone 3Gs with version 3.1 (7C144) and baseband 05.11.07. I’d like to upgrade the ios to version v4.x (say V4.3.2). I have my SHSH backed up using TinyUmbrella and don’t need any data on the iphone. I’ve modified my etc/host file as per Saurik’s instructions from before gs.apple.com. I’m also running itunes v9.2.1.

What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

p.s – I tried the following with snowbreeze 2.6 but couldn’t get past step 4. I think I have to update my iphone to v4.3.2 via itunes first.

Ok I JB my Iphone 3GS 4.3.1 using SnOwBreeze 2.5.1 and this are my steps, problems and solutions

    1. download snowbreeze [ latest version] 2.5.1
    2. download iPhone2,1_4.3.1_8G4_Restore
    3. Follow tutorial for snowbreeze.
    4. Get you iphone to DFU mode. { power+home for 10 sec. then release Power} Get the black screen.
5 Open Itunes and then select Restore While Pressing the Shift key.
    6. you should now have your iphone JB.

Weird, I replied couple days ago but don’t see it.
I installed itunes v10.2 and was unable to get Snowbreeze or Redsnow working. Whenever I tried to do a shift restore with itunes to the custom ipsw I created, it did not recognize the file. I ended up using the 4.3.2 ipsw in the download section here.

      version 4.3.2 (8H7)
      baseband 05.16.02

Don’t really care about the ultrasnow unlock as I’m on a 3yr contract with Rogers.
Only catch is that I can’t sync the iphone with itunes. I only have the option to setup as a new iphone or restore to a few days ago where the phone would not connect to the Rogers network.
Not a huge deal but it would be nice if I can sync to itunes to have a good complete backup.

  • Hi

I am looking to upgrade to version 4.3.2 on my iphone 3GS and re-jailbreak and unlock

    I am running the following:
    version 4.0.1 (8A306)
    modem firmware 05.13.04
    running ultrasnow

i have backed up my shsh with tiny umbrella.

how do i upgrade to 4.3.2 without loosing my jailbreak and unlock?

  • Crypter

I have an iPhone 3GS from New Zealand which is Factory Unlocked.
I upgraded it to 4.3.2. It was working good with any simcard.
I tried to JB with redsnow and it didn’t work and Cydia was white colored.
Then I used snowbreeze 2.6 to JB it and it was passed without errors.
    But now I don’t have a signal!!!!!
I tried any simcard and it doesn’t work.
Then I tried to restore original firmware from iTunes and after the it said that my phone is blocked.
