Spirit Jailbreak for iOS4 Coming Soon

Yesterday I was telling you the  Dev Team is working hard on an unlock for iPhone 4. Some of you may have wondered why the Dev Team would be working on an unlock when a jailbreak is not even ready yet, right?

That’s because according to MuscleNerd, a jailbreak for all devices at iOS 4 is already taken care of by the upcoming release of Spirit by Comex.

Now the question is: when will Spirit for iOS 4 be available? With Apple supposed to release an update to iOS 4 in the upcoming weeks to supposedly fix the antenna issue, I doubt Comex will release Spirit beforehand and give Apple a chance to patch the exploit.

I bet you can’t wait for Spirit for iOS 4, can you?

    Hopefully they won’t bother waiting for Apples update however as I have no need to update my 3GS so therefore will decline this new one. I don’t like the idea of the signal bars becoming bigger!

    Hell I can’t wait sitting on 3.1.2, I don’t need the unlock, I only need the jailbreak…
    I tried my best by modifying spirit, but no one wanted to give me a hand finishing it :/

    I have been Google-ing iphone 4 jailbreak everday since the release on the 24th. I cannot wait any longer, my ipod touch was jailbroken and now i have to have my iphone 4 jailbroken

    i want to thank all the developers who are helping in the development of the jailbreak/unlock (i was relying on you guys since iphone 2g).that said
    I can’t wait for the jailbreak, i wonder if mywi will solve the problem with facetime over 3g.
    the iphone was never “great” without the 3-party apps. jailbreak rocks!!

    Last i heard spirit doesn’t hacktivate the iphone, it only jailbreaks an already activated iphone, so will this new tool cut it or not ??

    I got stuck on iTunes screen & had to update 2 ios4 on my 3GS ! Now every day I’m searching religiously for a release date for a jailbreak ! Does anyone know a quick & easy way to find out what boot rom your device has ?

    Everyone was just as excited about the previous version of spirit. The jb for old bootrom iPhone previously jailbroken NOT with spirit has been available for mac users for a while. Now go figure if we should or should not use spirit to jb our phone. Or should we wait for pawnage tool upgrade?

    @Pukapukabluez you can find your answers about how to check your bootrom on idb, eaither make a search for it or go back a few comments, and as I recall, Sebastien wrote an article before. Or else try searching google before placing your question.

    In the mean time, check the model and the first 5 numbers of your phone’s serial. You can look it up in settings->general->about. Post your findings.

    Honestly, what was the rush? I’m still enjoying all the great features of iOS4 without using iOS4….

    My friend told me about this computer developer in my town that supposedly jailbreaks the ios4…. I obviously told him he was full of it because not even the dev team has released it yet ! Doesn’t make sence . Tomorrow is the moment of truth though . Tomorrow supposedly is gonna jailbreak the iPhone 4. I’m not believing nothing until I see a cydia icon on that springboard then will talk this though .
