Billy Crudup set to lead dramedy ‘Hello Tomorrow!’ for Apple TV+

Billy Crudup is one of the best parts of the Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show, so it only makes sense that he’d land a leading role for another series on the streaming platform.

Apple TV+ has given a series order to a new dramatic comedy called Hello Tomorrow!, with Crudup set to star. Each episode will be a half hour long, and there will be 10 episodes in the first season. The new series is set “in a retro-future world and centers around a group of traveling salesmen hawking lunar timeshares”.

The rest of the synopsis is similar to another Apple TV+ series, if we’re being completely honest. Not that that’s a bad thing, because more positivity in general is good. But, depending on how this series handles it, it could be compared to Ted Lasso.

With that in mind, though, here’s how the rest of the description reads, per Variety:

Crudup stars as Jack, a salesman of great talent and ambition, whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers, revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him.

So, similar, yes, but not necessarily the same. We’ll have to wait to see the first trailer to get a feel for how it all comes together. Unfortunately, we are probably a ways out before we get a look at this one.

Jonathan Entwistle (The End of the F****** World) is set to executive produce and direct. Amit Bhalla (Bloodline) and Lucas Jansen (Bloodline) are writing and executive producing. Crudup will also be an executive producer on the upcoming series.

The show sounds interesting, but it’s Crudup in the lead role that will definitely help it stand out.
