Fan of Sleep, Lockcard, PewPew Live, and other apps to check out this weekend

In this week’s edition of our Apps of the Week roundup we have an app that helps you fall asleep and a dictionary app w/ an educational twist. And as always, we’ve selected two great new games for you to check out.

Fan of Sleep –  Mix Sounds

Fan of Sleep was designed to be easy to use and to help you fall asleep at night. Choose from six different color schemes, three different fan sounds, and six ambient sounds to help you get the best sleep you’ve had in a while. It has a built-in timer, custom sliders to mix the sounds to your liking, and best of all, no ads!

Lockcard – English Dictionary

Search a word once, remember it forever. This is a dictionary app that has a built-in flash card function that helps you remember words you look up. Here’s how it works: look up a word in the app. Go back to your busy life. Receive a notification of the word. Test your memory right from your Lock screen. That’s it!

Sixit

Looking for something a little less intense? Check out Sixit, a small narrative puzzle game where you have only SIX actions. You play Pep, a mammal of some sort, and you’re a newcomer to the village. There’s a sentient storm treating the townsfolk, and it’s up to you to save them.
