Enable automatic video replays in the Camera Roll with OkReplay

When perusing through your iPhone’s Photo Library, you’ll find all your previously snapped photographs and recorded videos. One thing I’ve always noticed about it, however, is that Apple doesn’t offer an automatic replay option for videos saved in the Photo Library.

Automatic replay is available for video content on many third-party apps, and so it always seemed funky to me that Apple didn’t at least provide the option to do the same in the iPhone’s native Photo Library. With that in mind, it’s unsurprising to see that the jailbreak community has once again provided a feature Apple seemingly forgot.

OkReplay is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Antony M that addresses the quandary above by bringing automatic-replay functionality to videos in the Photos app on pwned iPhones and iPads.

Once installed, videos that a user plays will start over again automatically after reaching the end. This contrasts from the stock functionality in which the user would need to tap on the Play button to see the video again.

If you often find yourself viewing short video clips in your Photo Library in repetition, either because you were intrigued, were relishing in old memories, or didn’t believe what you saw, then this is a tweak you’ll find particularly useful as it eliminates the manual step of starting the video over again.

The functionality offered by OkReplay will be subjective, as not all users will want their video content playing over again after the first viewing. Those interested in giving the tweak a try can download OkReplay for free from the Packix repository via their favorite package manager. Jailbroken installations of both iOS 13 and 14 are supported.
