Apple’s Services division continues to rake in money, has another dominant quarter

Stop us if you’ve heard this one: Apple’s Services division had another ridiculously strong quarter. Well, sure enough, Apple’s confirmed as much today with the company’s latest quarterly earnings report.

Earlier today, Apple announced the results for its second fiscal quarter of 2021. And while Apple saw a year-over-year increase basically across the board from 2020, that’s not too surprising considering the coronavirus pandemic was having such a wild impact last year. Still, this fiscal quarter was strong for Apple, and the Services division continues to tick up as far as earning money is concerned.

And that’s a trend that will probably continue well into the future.

Today, Apple announced that its Services division brought in $16.9 billion in revenue all on its own. That compares to the $15.76 billion the Services division brought in within the first fiscal quarter of this year. And let’s not forget that Services hit a new all-time high back in the second fiscal quarter of 2020 — reaching $13.3 billion at the time.

Luca Maestri, Apple’s Chief Financial Officer, also confirmed today that Apple has reached 660 million customers across its services. Unfortunately, we still don’t know how many of those are subscribing to Apple Music or Apple TV+, specifically.

Apple’s Services revenue continues to climb. But considering how many different elements of Apple’s business falls into this category, that’s not too surprising. Apple’s Services division includes Apple Pay, Apple Card, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Fitness+, Apple News+, iCloud, the Apple One bundles, and more.

How many of Apple’s services do you pay for?
