Apple TV+ shares the season 2 trailer for ‘Mythic Quest’ ahead of May 7 premiere date

One of the biggest premieres coming to Apple TV+ in the near future is the comedy series Mythic Quest, which see its big return on Friday, May 7. Before that, the streaming service has released the first trailer.

Early on Monday, Apple TV+ published the first official trailer for the second season of Mythic Quest to its official YouTube channel. The video comes in at just over two minutes in length, and, as you’d expect, there’s a ton of new footage to enjoy. The second season will primarily focus on returning to the office after the initial quarantine.

At the same time, the studio will be developing its second major expansion for its popular in-universe Mythic Quest video game. Ian McElhenney makes his return as Ian, while Charlotte Nicdao will be back as Poppy, the newly-minted co-creative director at the studio.

Here’s how Apple describes the upcoming season:

With the quarantine finally over, the new season of “Mythic Quest” finds everyone back in the office (well, almost everyone), attempting to build upon the success of Raven’s Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), struggle with the game’s direction. Meanwhile, C.W. (F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, the testers (Ashly Burch and Imani Hakim) test the bounds of an office romance, and David (David Hornsby) loses yet another woman in his life as Jo (Jessie Ennis) leaves him to assist Brad (Danny Pudi).

Mythic Quest was created by McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz. Lionsgate, Ubisoft, and 3 Arts Entertainment are producing for Apple TV+.

As far as what the sub-title might be for this season, that’s up in the air. There was a rumor in 2020 that suggested the new show’s title might be Mythic Quest: Titan’s Rift, which is what the new expansion may be called in the upcoming season.

Before the second season kicks off, Mythic Quest will premiere a special post-quarantine episode on Friday, April 16. Here’s how that’s described:

Instead of being all about remote work, this next special episode, which is called “Everlight”, will see the creative team behind the mega-popular Mythic Quest video game returning to the office for in-person work. This is happening in time for the company’s annual Everlight office party, which will include a live-action role play tournament.

The second season of Mythic Quest will premiere on Friday, May 7. Are you looking forward to the show’s return?
