In this week’s episode of our Apps of the Week roundup, we have an app that encourages investing, an engaging breathing companion, and a fun photo editor. And as always, we’ve selected two great games for you to check out.
Grifin: Stock Where You Shop
Here’s an interesting app for those who need a little push to get into investing. It’s called Grifin, and it makes it easy for you to invest in the companies where you shop. The idea is that if you frequent a place like Starbucks, you’ll probably feel safe investing with them long term. No fees and the setup is very customizable.
Enliven – Interactive Breaths
If Apple’s own breathing app doesn’t do it for you, check out Enliven. It creates full-screen, engaging breathing experiences such as watching a flower bloom, the sun glow and even an owl fly. As you watch these animations and follow their rhythms with your breath, you will feel your stress melt away like butter.
Laserhouse: Clubhouse Avatar
Don’t worry, you don’t need a Clubhouse account to take advantage of this awesome app. It’s a simple photo editor that makes it super quick and easy to take a selfie photo and then add a cool filter over your eyes. There are lasers, exploding stars—even black bars like they used in the movie Parasite. It’s so simple and fun!
Slashy Camp
Looking for an endless runner/slasher modeled after a 1980s horror film? Look no further. In Slashy Camp you play SkullFace, a masked slasher hell-bent on revenge. Gain XP for each murderlicious run and unlock new iconic slashers, crazy new weapons and gore-tactic mini-games. There are also traps, puzzles and more!
Dark Rooms – Room Escape Game
Dark Rooms isn’t like other escape room games. It features a very straightforward, minimal interface so you don’t spend a ton of time searching for hidden clues. In this game, the riddles for each room are front and center, so you can focus on the task at hand, solve it and move on. Do you have what it takes to escape all 50 rooms?
